It's slow (slower than the old site), I get a lot of server errors and sometimes the page don't show up at all, I have to click on more links on the new site to get me where I want to go, the rating system don't show what or if you have rated a skin before, doesn't work very well with the Opera browser and more... Seems like beta to me so far, and I really hope to see a lot of changes.

I believe they want to be that way for the personal information section for security reasons.
But I'm not going to miss its slowness. When is it going to be faster? The two sites are equally slow now. The holiday themes and universal metal themes and such will come in time. Yay! <img src
I am sure a lot would, but they can't, because the 49ers wouldn't allow it. Also, read this https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?id=243365&BID=WC&page=1#319919
betas That can be the problem. Install the latest final release and not an alfa or beta release. That's why they are called that, so they can be tested for errors.
I would like to see a requirement to list the names and authors of the skins displayed. I think that should be one of the requirements for uploading a screenshot. If you can't tell who made the parts of your desktop AND provide links to the skins, icons, players, walls, etc., you shouldn't be able to upload it here.
I think they're great CerebroJD!
And what visual style (windowblind) you are using. Some windowblinds have animations, whilse others may have errors etc. which can cause this.
That's creativity!
Try re-naming the file and upload again. Worked for me on another site for some reason.
The old site has: A much better design, and the option to change siteskin. Fewer clicks get me where I want to go. It's a lot easier on the eyes with any of the layouts available, and for those of us who like to spend a lot of time here, that matters a lot. <
Congratulations!
Excellent one! Thaks D!

Koasati gave you the answer to your problem above. You need to do the following: The Solution: Step 1. File extension must not be hidden. If you're unsure what that means, open Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab > "Hide extensions for known file types" should be un-checked. Step 2. Right-click the file and select Rename. Change the zip par
I am not sure what you mean... You don't have to edit or open any ini-files. Try to be a bit more specific. You are running Windows XP?
Have you installed BootSkin? https://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/ Whaen BootSkin is installed, just double-click on the downloaded bootskins.

Not all DesktopX themes, objects and widgets support international weather information. You could try the Core Weather widget by mormegil to see how it's done https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=34&SkinID=118 Just click on the location area in the widget and repalce it with Vienna, Austria.
