Thank you for the infos, that something that i will look forward to get. Any ideas when it will be release?
The alpha build of the game is being released in a few days on March 27th, which means the beta is probably 5-6 months after that. The final game will likely be released sometime in Q1 or Q2 2015.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but you will be able to mod map sizes in Galactic Civilizations 3, meaning you can probably generate much larger maps than what we had before (Immense). The modding potential for other aspects of the game has also been improved, because much more is being written and coded in XML format instead of hard-coded. Can't wait to see what people will come up with!

Buying Galactic Civilizations for the combat is... well... stupid. He must've felt like such an ass after playing it and realizing there were no tactics at all.

I intend to skip school, need to know when to set my alarm for
Don't be an idiot; no game, no matter how good you anticipate it to be, is worth skipping school for. Or work. Or weddings.

As much as I like the "unite against the player" and "End-game threat" ideas, I'm still unsure of how they would address the problem well.. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but to compete in the early-mid game in GCII you needed hundreds of billions of soldiers ready to go at a moment's notice, alongside thousands of ships and the infrastructure to replace them rapidly. By the time I've reached say, 50% game world dominance, my power not only exceeds the AI,

One question; last one, I swear! How do you recompile text files back into the coded versions? Everywhere I look it's like people just assume you know how. Makes me feel like a dullard.
