This isn't the "next Elder Scrolls" game. They've said all along, this isn't TES VI. That will be something else in the same vein as Skyrim, Oblivion, etc. And, after the success of Skyrim, anyone who thinks the next TES game isn't already in the works is nuts. It'll be built completely independent of ZOS. The team that developed Skyrim =/= ZOS. Two different development shops.

To expand on NorsemanViking's point a little for clarity's sake; there are some pre-built maps and scenarios with special settings, alongside the random maps which you can edit with a variety of settings that adjust resources and the like. You can also make your own maps with an editor! (In GC2, presumably GC3):D

I've never been a fan of, shall we say, "land-based" TBS'. I prefer mine in space. This looks a little too... I don't know how to say it... Tried and true?
"Crippled" is an exaggeration, particularly because you could pick and choose which ones you took the hit on, especially when playing a race that started out good. I don't deny it was sub-optimal, but there's quite a difference between that and (to paraphrase DARCA1213) good being so terrible that it's unplayable even by ordinary roleplayers.
Maybe a bit of a brag, but really, taking dozens of stat hits to your pla

In any kind of even remotely realistic environment, you're trained on your tools before you go into combat. The entire point of that training is so that in a combat situation, you don't have to stop and think about how to use the thing. You already know how. Experience with it will make you bet
While it was definitely inferior in a strictly by-the-numbers sense (which is not how I play), I never found playing good to be difficult. I'm not sure where the people saying it was are coming from.
Playing good crippled you if you chose the colonization options, and it was by-and-large bad compared to neutral and evil.

*Sighs* This makes me sad and it'll make you sad. Can't find a single post which outlines what you actually write in the prompt. lol. I know, this is getting old. I wrote "start ConvertData_Rebellion.exe entity CAPITALSHIP_TECHBATTLESHIP" Please, to the point, then I'm outta' you hair; what exactly do I need to do in order to translate an entity file to text? I'll probably sate myself watching TESO fans' "Let's Plays" on Youtube. Modders like to do that too, Look at Skywind project for instance, a WIP about recreating Morrowind using the skyri

If you've never used Command Prompt before, there are quite a few tutorials online on how to do the most basic stuff eg. changing directories, program syntax. If you run ConvertData_Rebellion.exe by itself in Command Prompt, it'll display the program's syntax; the text you're seeing in the "black box that flashes" is the said

I'm looking to modify a few ENTITY files (Like the one for the Kol, starbases and a few techs), so I copied them to a new folder. I tried to use the "ConvertData_Rebellion.exe" and... well... nothing. Clicking it, running it, double-clicking, running as administrator, everything fails to open it, all it shows is a black box which flashes for a few milliseconds b
