Galactic Civilizations is a TBS, but I digress. I like games where movement is unfettered by "jump lanes" or "phase lanes" and you can move things freely and independently.

Hey. I just asked a question in another thread to Brad/Frogboy in another thread, and I felt it deserved more attention here. In Galactic Civilizations 2, we had the three alignments as I'm sure most of you are aware; Good/Neutral/Evil. This trichotomy sucked the big one for a variety of reasons, most telling of which was the fact that the good alignment was absolutely terrible. It's eas
Yeah, I'm currently doing some trades on Steam to see if I can obtain GalCiv2. In the meantime, I'm going to be active on this forum and look for any more news. Thanks for all your feedback!
Galactic Civilizations 2 isn't really that expensive, so if there is a way to do it, I'll give you the remainder of my wallet. A paltry sum (probably only a dollar or two lol), but every little bit helps right

The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Deus Ex (Sorta'), The Witcher. Good games. Planetside 2 is an MMOFPS, but it also has many RPG elements as well. If I may ask, why do you want a first-person game? I think you're limiting the choices a bit/a lot.
Good news is that alpha is starting up later this month, and there will be videos and posts about it. No doubt once planetary invasion is in the game you'll hear about it, and you can make a decision then. (So long as the they're still selling founders editions of course.) For someone on the fence right now like you are, I'd suggest waiting the couple of weeks it'll take to start seeing the alpha in action befo
I do realize that anything in the Alpha stage is subject to change, but the fact that they're developing a new planetary invasion interests me. Of course I shouldn't base my purchase on a game that's still in the works. However, I am highly interested in supporting the devs by means of money and feedback... I guess sort of like a kickstarter. I just want to see what ideas they have in store for this game. [
I cringe at the thought of all the wasted development dollars and time spent on Online that could've gone to 'The Elder Scrolls VI: Whatever Yada Yada'. We'll end up getting a lesser product because publishers and developers want money.

Short answers to both; yes. Long answer; hell yes. It's really just a few art assets unless starbases are receiving a major graphical overhaul, and we could use the already-existing shipyard as a basis for designing the bases (lol). Sounds cool; I'm all for more racial diversity.

Ground combat has always been pretty boring in the series, but I do miss the "toy soldiers" from Dread Lords; it was so much fun watching tens of billions of civilians and soldiers get butchered needlessly and fall like lead paperweights while tanks and carriers exploded like bombs... Good times. I hope a few minor "tactical" and strategic elements are thrown into the mix for the battles beyond just the invasion tactic; drop-zone selection, liberation and not domination, terrain consi
Tech, culture, king of the hill and diplomacy point victories are boring as sin, and I always play with them off. The only victories I even consider are the alliance and military victories, as they are by far much harder to do and more rewarding. OT; I'd like a diminishing returns infinite tech at the end of each tech tree that provides a passive, empire-wide bonus to its relevant field(s). i.e "Godlike weapons 1" costs 10000, improves weapons by 20%, "Godlike weapons 2" costs 200
Thanks, PR. I think that gets me part way there. Obviously I was missing the word for "end" (Italian "Termini" or Latin "Terminus"), so that could give me something like "termini dela arcobaleno" in Italian (not sure of the grammer). But what about the word form? In looking at WikiPedia, I couldn't get anything with "Arquus", and Wiktionary does not have Latin translations in it. I believe I stated earlier that I was thinking of "end of the rainbow", to sort of go with my avatar.
