I'm still not convinced it wouldn't cause inefficiencies compared to manual control, and that's the main problem. For instance; I always build a PQ improver, rushbuy a factory, then build a farm and morale building followed by the remainder being either research buildings, factories or markets as called
How would we deal with building planetary improvements on planets? We know that planets in Galactic Civilizations 3 have the "class" mechanic, so you can't just que up buildings on a sector-by-sector basis, you would still need to do it planet for planet. If there's a very simple solution to this, then I can't see it.

Sorry [/quote] There's nothing to be sorry about; Dread Lords and I believe Dark Avatar had a fixed amount of defenses that didn't degrade. Where you talking about those? Also, in Twilight of the Arnor your "Defense Degradation" resets every round of combat, so in more protracted fights or against fewer opponents it mattered less. It's all
Yo This is obviously a question more for the devs than the players, but my question is this; what kind of state will the Alpha Release of Galactic Civilizations 3 have? Galactic Civilizations and Galactic Civilizations 2 had really incomplete, crappy alphas and betas; I distinctly remember that they had maybe... a tenth(?) of the functionality of the final game. Same goes for the Alpha/Beta of Twilight of the Arnor (which was admittedly more complete). Hel

Trade? Meaningful? lolololololol! Had a good laugh at that. But good ideas throughout regardless. I also dislike the prospect of "Streamlining" this part of the game for casuals; the very thought streamlining is like a dirty word to me. EDIT; Oh my god! I've become one of the casual haters without even realizing it! D:
Twilight of the Arnor introduced "Defense Degradation", with your maximum potential blocking of damage being reduced with each blocked point of damage. I frequently lose singular Battleship patrols to large swarms of AI on the higher difficulty; my battleship, a near-impervious dreadnought of death and destruction with 150 attack and 300 defense will lose to a 15-strong fleet of frigates after killing maybe ten at most. Against a Human player, that would be pretty bad, but again

I'm not suggesting that every alien race be a homogeneous, boring blob like in Star Trek or Star Wars, but keep it on a believable level; in Galactic Civilizations 3 the Drengin Empire and the Yor have the other races by the balls to the extent where some races have been pushed to the brink of extinction or enslaved almost in totality.
