thanks to the power and ease of development on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Resist the urge! Don't let the allure of free money overcome you! :D I'm looking forwards to the next Sins of a Solar Empire; I noticed that the file listed it under "Active" franchises. Interesting... Perhaps that's the Oxide engine game?

I loved the phallus creator! My mighty fleet of dick-shaped warships piloted by mighty dick-shaped gentlemen once single-handedly defeated the Grox! For shame!

I want separate cultural and political borders, none of this BS with culture equating to territory control. Our sphere of influence should be as large as the players make it so., not dictated by some crummy equation(s) Of all the things in GC2, this is the one thing I actively disliked.

Not sure if that dates me more than you :) Honestly, it never even occurred to me that older people (beyond 50) even gave video games a passing glance, let alone played them with enough dedication to buy-in to something like the founde

There's only one mention of it I believe, and it's relatively obscure. I'll find it if I have time. The tech, that comes the closest to what are talking about, is Expert Gravity Channeling from the Thalan tech tree. Here is what it says: "Every interstellar civilization has s
To paraphrase, "Beautiful music is in the ear of the beholder." I have not found the music in any of the GalCivs to be pleasing, so I was very glad when they added support for playlists. I am hoping for playlist support in GC3. For now, I have the music settings in GC3 turned off and I play my own playlist through a media player that came with Win8.1.
I don't want to poke fun of your age, but I have a que

We will never force you to go up a particular branch in the tree, the ages are just their to help the game flow, you will still be able to go crazy in the tree.
Can you answer a question? I was disappointed that there don't seem to be multiple prerequisites for any techs, and that it is by-and-large
Should starports require a troop transport to take them over/not be destroyable? At the very least, I think they should have starbase defenses that can be attached to it, with the home planet starbase getting some defenses at the start of the game (and they should have a good chunk of hp)
Good idea.
From a "realistic" standpoint, harvesting resources from an asteroid in Zero G is vastly preferable to mining on a planet's surface, then having to blast the product back out of a gravity well. So much so, that the only reason to mine a planet after you've perfected asteroid mining is if you're after some incredibly rare element that isn't found in asteroids in any reasonable quantity - basically, the noble gases and se

Good idea; most of my games end up as horrendous slogs for this very reason :C There are some problems however; You'd have to come up with a ratio of relative strength that wasn't unreasonable to the under-powered player; frequently a well-equipped fleet of strictly "inferior" strength will defeat a "powerful" fleet of poorly-equipped fleet. Also, the end-game "slog" is usually fought against ships that aren't all that in
I have that same image hanging in my office, we have some plans to let players render out ships to "Scale" at some point, however in the ship designer itself it is not as simple as it sounds. Ship designs are scaled according to their hull size on the main map, so anything we told you in the designer would be in accurate on the map. In fleet battles ships will be closer to real scale, but we may still have to mess with them to mak
