Figured it out....It's the recycle bin docklet that's causing the cpu spikes. Removed it from the dock and they go away. I don't think it's just the recycle bin docklet by itself that's doing it. I also have the recycle bin protected by Norton's and now I remember that more often than not whenever I used a DX recyclebin it would lock-up DX.
NT I would uninstall SDC and request Stardock to resend your registration details https://www.stardock.com/support.asp you'll get link for SDC and I believe it'll be the latest version.
Oh and Koasati I'm running TranKwill right now I love all the little buttons
but I can't test the msstyles conversion (don't have any to convert). You have those luna ones that came with XP but I'm ruling out SKS. I going to uninstall OD+ and try reinstalling it to see if that fixes things.</fo
So I have been leaving Windows Task Manager open to keep an eye on things. When I open up SDC from the systray icon objectdock.exe again shoots up to 97-98% cpu usage. After SDC finishes opening, OD+ settles back down. When I right-click on one of the ODNT apps and select Restore Archive to bring up the dialog showing all my archived versions, OD+ again pegs the cpu usage.
This is bizarre....I opened up Windows Task Manager to watch what was going on and this time imported a msstyle MM Maggra-X by KoL that I know is a good msstyle and while SkinStudio was converting the file the cpu usage for ObjectDesktop.exe shot right up to 98%, slowing down the conversion process and after a minute it was still in the 40% range. It did go back to normal and did not lock up this time and the port worked. So now my question is why woul
Running XP SP2 with latest round of updates (Feb 2/9) installed... The affected software... SKS Pro 4.51.044; WB 4.50.044; OD+ 1.10.008 Yesterday I tried changing my WB skin to ChromeXP by Pixtudio. Everything seemed fine except the disabled state of the system button was showing as a white blank square with the font. Still worked correctly just the graphic wasn't loading right for it. So I op
Will this be a part of Object Desktop, or is it another additional thing we OD subscribers will have to buy? It's a tool for sharing input between multiple machines, not a desktop customization tool, so I would say no. Also Stardock has added two additional pi
Since going to SP2 I've set myself up for auto-update. Got it this morning. Thanks for the info.
RacerX and Racer by MT are not the same skins, niether is a port of the other....same concept though.

Only the paid version of OD has tabs and usually because tabbed docks are coded differently than zoomer docks, they won't look right if you set them as the background for zoomer docks.
Post some WIPs here for us to check out.
Will definitely be reading this
as the community get fractionalized by the widget vs Gadget, crap. I don't think it will happen. Hasn't happened with folks like essorant, Pixtudio and SkinPlant creating premium skins and suites I'll give our community much
Thanks T-Man for all your patience and courage in make this a better place to live
I've been watching this for about a week to see if things would "catch up".... Under the popular tab for Top Skin Author for ObjectDock Hall of Fame I show as rank 19 with 54088 downloads. Under my stats the same category shows rank 21 with 53962 downloads. I figured that the stats possibly lagged behind in counts, but if you look at the totals for rank 20 with 53471 downloads and rank 21 with 52639 downloads under the popular tabs, even with

possibly even some programs will be produced as a premier Gadget and then a Lite version available as a widget I also see the possiblity of companies who want their name on your desktop working with developers to create gadgets that are free, but have branding on them. It's already happening with suites
Using the latest WB4.5 here. The titlebar, frame and titlebar buttons are skinned and the scrollbar is not, when I check the Skin Console Windows (UIS1 only) box and I'm using a UIS2 skin, but it isn't 100% correct, there is a minor difference. If I uncheck the box....it's not skinned....which is how I usually leave it.
I'm not even sure what happens if Developer A creates a Coffee Making 'Gadget' and shortly after Developer B creates a similar 'Widget'. Will it be allowed on the library even tho it is in competition with Developer A's Gadget - or will there be some sort of individual patenting that restricts others from developing Widgets for d
Too much whining...Stardock didn't take anything away from the ODNT subscription. That's all there is to it.
