Are you using a download accelerator from the likes of Earthlink or NetZero? If so, you need to turn it off when you download *jpg files because the software at their server level recompresses this type of image to a much smaller file and therefore poorer quality image. Also sometimes using let say an 800x600 resolution wallpaper on a 1280x1024 or higher resolution desktop can cause this some loss as Windows stretches it.

For example - clicking on any thread in the WC forum would open a new tab. I really only need ONE open page of WC not 2 or 3 or 4 etc... I'm not sure about firefox, but you must be able to configure that. I use Maxthon, another tabbed browser and that doesn't happen to me.
To view any person's work, click on their name, then click on their my skins link.

I am curious tho, if anyone knows of anyother programs that offer the same tabbed interface Clearly not as pretty or as useful, but Tab Launchpad, part of ObjectDesktop allows you to launch programs from a tabbed interface.
Can take up to a week...depending on the volume of stuff to be moderated.
What new wincustomize? http://tinyurl.com/3lmzd the old site
If the skinner is still around, you could ask if he/she would update their skin. Seems a few...adni18, pallet, apb...are doing just that. Alternatively, you could open the skin in SKS and create the shellstyles yourself using bits from the skin or making you own images. Or just recolorize the luna blue to a more suitable color....like I did with this SKS widget http://essencay.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=34&LibID=15&comments=1 shameless plug
I too wish it was something you could set in your preferences, like you can with the number of skins showing per page
For folks that don't want to try changing settings on their PC to shutdown the messenger service. Get "Shoot The Messenger" from GRC. http://www.grc.com/freepopular.htm There are also a couple of other free mini apps there that shutdown Windows' vulnerabilities.
Did Norton's tell you what the name of the virus was?
http://www.artuproar.com/ ArtUproar http://www.lotsofskins.com/ LOS Anyone know what happened or am I having bad browser stuff happening?
Get Ad-aware (or some other software like that). Also get Spybot S&D and Microsoft's Antispyware beta and run all three. Each catches things that the other doesn't, they play well together and they're free.
Posting this separately from another thread so as to not hijack that thread By the way, where are the catagories you use to have above each section of pictures for, let's say, WindowBlinds? You know: holidays, fantacy, spooky, scarey, etc.. There should, also, be a topic to click on that would bring up sections of
Ms.libbywoods103....did you expect that when you opened a thread called Didn't you know capitalism was bad? Trolls on a mission.. that it was gonna be about customizing your desktop
...and the All Images function still works
It may be that there was documentation stating this, but you know the little problem where in the Choose Image dialog lumps every image together even if you have it all arranged nicely in separate folders within the Images folder? If you move your image folders up one level to the ObjectDock folder the Choose Image dialog sees it as a separate folder making searching for images much easier.<img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" borde
Being a moderator comes with a responsability, and also some ethics, I would assume. You are acting in a role as a 'supposedly' neutral third party 'on behalf of the community.' and on and on and on... A moderator acts on the behalf of the site owner and if the site owner doesn't have an issue with the
Just guessing but did you also install the enhanced dialogs beta and iconpackager? Then uninstalled them before you reset everything back to normal?
I get similar ones from Microsoft and from different financial institutes.....scum preying on folks who aren't too computer savvy.
I read that Theme Manager supports applying msstyles, although I am assuming it does so through SKS/WB by converting it. Where on your PC do these msstyle files need to reside in order for Theme Manager to recognize their existance? I have a feature request for the wallpaper portion of ThemeManager....to be able to set multiple directories where it looks for wallpaper. Thanks <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 A
Depends on the skin for me.....Koasati's TranKwill skin does not lock it up. A personal port of KoL's MM Maggra-X does.
If WB 4.5 is skinning any browser that uses the IE engine (tested on both Maxthon and Avant), and you use the Find window (Ctrl-F) to search for text, then close the Find window... the browser locks up. Using Maxthon....works fine here. Great article <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smil
You can use a tabbed dock in conjunction with the taskbar.
