A good comparison to make is one between Custo and VelocityArt. VA has only been around for a relatively short space of time, but already it has established itself as a fun place to be. It was a whole forum thread consisting of personal attacks on Brad and Stardock by one of the admins. Strangely, it seems to have been removed now... As an aside, have you heard the news about ThemeXP.org losing their whole database of MSStyles for use with StyleXP?

They have certainly failed as a skinning site, and the attitude of the admins is apalling. I'd actually be ashamed to be known for running such a poorly mangaged and badly constructed site anyway. It's a shame really, as for a while there it was one of the few sites I visited daily. Now I only drop by every so often to glance at the wreckage as I pass by.

I use Macromedia Fireworks, as it has native support for the .PNG file format that CursorXP uses. You can get a fully functional 30 day trial version at www.macromedia.com . Alternatively, Photoshop is the next best thing. Axialis AXCursors is only of use for creating native windows cursors, which are entirely different from CursorXP cursors.
