1. I have had one instance of two economic capitals being built. Long ago I had built it in on Sol, but then later in the game I saw it being constructed on Nestro through the 'Generic' build que. I`ve also had some trade goods do this as well (which I thought were supposed to be unique?) 2. The event where you recieve an armada of Precusor Corvettes happens too often, or alternatively gives too many ships.. 3. I also have the same problem as post #52 by Citizen Ancient Warrio

I set most of my planets on the generic build que which is named after your government type. Sometimes I notice that a planet will start building a wonder or trade good after it is already built elsewhere. Example - long ago I had built my Economic Capital on Sol, but then I noticed it was being build on my other colony Nestro.. :notsure:

Here is a different question about alliances - can you have three & four-way alliances? Galactic coalitions and what not? Will there be a Moo2 syndrom where Ally1 is constantly trying to make you declare war on Ally2, and if you don`t they`ll both go to war with you? Also - is it possible to have 'alliances of submission' like in SMAC? Fiefdoms, protectorates, territories, autonomous self-governing zones?

"First, your taxes collected are based on the population of your planet. The more people there are reporting themselves as citizens, the more taxes you can collect. Raises taxes and people disappear. They’re not dead. They simply are no longer filing taxes. " There should be an evil technology to counter this.. like barcoding citizens at birth. Muwhahahaha

Alot of these random ideas are fantastical.. how about some semi-normal occurances? I`m sure things like asteroids are in - right? How about sun spot activity that affects crops and unrest? Here is an idea - space monster swarm! Very rare.. a horde of space monsters would decend on the players like locust from a neighboring galaxy, destroying ships and colonies indiscrimantely as they try to fill their insatible their hunger for bio-matter. If the horde wasn`t destroyed they`d eventuall

Ooooh oooh ooooh..! BIOLOGICAL GENOCIDE! The SUPREME EVIL TECHNOLOGY. This would take a long time to research and it would require a test population of your target specie (ie. a conquered Drengin planet). You have a chance of being caught during your research by enemy spies. This would cause all good empires to declare a holy war on your or something. You also have a high chance of the same thing happening after it is released (ie. someone pins it on you and then everybody declares war

Wow.. too much to read! I don`t know if these have already been suggested (one was somewhat but not the same as my idea) but here it goes.. Intensive Propaganda - Citizens are thuroughly indoctrinated in the rhetoric of the empire. This would yeild happier citizens and less opposition in the terran senate. Downsides could be a loss in science, a tendancy towards zealotry, and suseptability to enemy culture. Mind Control - This is like the other one but a bit different and to a

"Maybe they designed it this way because declaring war on somebody you owed money too would be too easy an out." I doubt this. If you have to resort to paying tribute I doubt you`d be ready to attack them again any time soon. Tribute is kind of like capitulation in my eyes. I agree with the idea that if war is declared any tribute or debts to that empire should be declared null and void.

"if the a.i really hates you they'll vote differently than you just in spite" "There are also other events such as pirates, ***space monsters***, deadly virus's, evil planets, planets defecting, etc." " I like pitting myself against an a.i. that is smart, It's not like he's sitting there waiting for you to cream him. " " the a.i hates you it feels like a living/breathing alien is in the computer, kicking my butt across the galaxy " Looks like I found everythin

I don`t know. I guess an easy way to do it would just be to make some opposites of the more democratic regiemes. Working backwards from Imperialism, try this: Police State: Still has a senate, basically the economy takes a little hit but internal security goes up. Totalitarian State: Senate doesn`t exist. You`re party has complete control of the empire. Severe hit to economy but perhaps a 'military economy' of some sort could receive a bonus (cheaper upkeep?) and very high inte

Yikes! I thought there would be some kind of definative answer to this.. looks like mere oversite though. :p More government types then! Perhaps totalitarian regimes and whatnot were left out because it would circumvent the senate (a big part of the game)? Still there needs to be a bit more variety methinks. My idea is what Razgon said - "How can evil empires have democracies, when most of the "evil" choices are based around either the removal of freedom of the induvidual, or

Hello all. I`ve just been checking out Galciv lately as an alternative to Moo3 and I had a question - why the push for 'good' governments? You can be an 'evil' empire but you have to be a Republic or Democracy and deal with some annoying senate and political parties? Why not have some 'evil' governments like totalitarian regimes or be the god-king of a galactic theocracy? :D
