Louie, thanks a bunch. Great info.

Will we be able to purchase and download the release product prior to the packaged product being available in stores?
It may seem like a dumb question, but I am seeing what seems to be conflicting information about whether the beta is still available for download. If I buy Drengin.net today, can I download the GalCiv beta right after. I need something to bandage the wound Moo3 has left in my soul!
I just learned about GalCiv, and the info on GalCiv.com is limited. Please tell me what hot and what is not about this game. I've just dealt with the huge disappointment of MOO3, I can't buy yet another game only to toss it out. 1. Does planet production have to be micromanaged to the same extent as in Moo2 and Civ3? If so, how do you deal with huge empires? 2. I like the idea of random events that help give the feeling of an unfolding story, but how does that actually work
TBS games have been traditionally been the domain of controll freaks, and MOO3 takes away so much control you pull your hair out. I do NOT agree that after playing awhile most players will begin to like it. Only a small minority of the TBS community are going to like "macromanagement". (:(
