"American liberals = Democrats = Socialize and tax everything in existence.". Famous concept, and I assume they are also for MORE civil servants? LOL . Or do you mean you actually don't want to pay tax? I mean, even in Galciv the population HAS to pay tax else the game is very quickly at an end. ;) But, I have to admit, I have never ever so far INCREASED the tax level. Well, after saying that my political favour will be no mistery anymore (:(
BTW, LordTheRon, it's time you join the European Empire ;)
"In fact, if the next couple of patches ONLY focused on fixing some of the still present issues, and added NO extra content, I would be well pleased.". Don't agree. Let them (= Brad and his team) decide, they know the best when and how things can and will be implemented. Tweaking the game is (mostly) based upon our input, adding new things more or less also. Which means, this community has alot to say in how this game will develop. They do a great job, not everything is directly improvable. Stan
The Us of A has the democrats and the republicans, which one of those are considered Liberals? Or none of them? I live in The Netherlands, we have a liberal party that actually does alot ;), specialy to increase the economical situation. Of course, on the other hand, this means they are not very fond of socialistic ideas like paying people money when they don't work :) I leave it to you guys to decide which party I prefer :D
Brad, as usual, some negative elements are everywhere. But indeed, look at all the posts that thank you for developing the game, the unbelievable support, how many ours you and your team spend on further improving the game, the great marketing concept, the 99.9 % loyal community, the continued efforts to even satisfy those who annou by "only to get see a bunch of posts complaining about mouse wheel behavior on some screen and posts by people saying the game is a "rip off" because they didn't lik
Brad, will elemental be released for testing on drengin.net?
It seems the europeans are up and running. I suggest 1 senator per country, that's indeed an EU thought. ;)
Netherlands, just joined the europeans.
"Ok, I'm sure this forum hace a nice population of RTS lovers, so I'll ask, what would be your idea of "the perfect RTS"?". Well, if you would have seen previous threads, I think most of us like TBS much more (not to say: hate RTS ;) ). And most of us like space oriented strategy games.
I have contacted a local software reseller in Amsterdam to see if he is interested in importing it. IF I have more news on that I will post it. Would be a pity to not see this fantastic games in local stores anywhere in the world.
And the motto could be: Veni, Vidi, Vici ;)
What about calling the empire Europa Universalis?
SKOAL! Nice, but does it suit a coffeefreak? :D
I'm hesitating between Fist of John (he IS pure evil) and the Europeans. But since I'm Dutch ..... :)
Well, Fist, you ARE pure evil :D
1 € = 1,08 $
Jeff George, Just above "Forum" on this page, you will see "Drengin.net". Click on it and you'll get all the info you want.
Now, hopefully, nobody of the drengin.net buyers in the past will start complaining they paid 10 bucks more than anyone who's going in now before May 1, 2003 ? ;)
Well, it's difficult to attack the Wardell system, because we all like Brad so much, but just now in my latest game my cultural influence was soo high, Wardell is now in my empire. Even although my empire is pure evil, I hesitated to invade Wardell. That's what you get if you are basically pure good but play pure evil. ;p
"Re political parties, I don't know if the new ones do anything yet. I looked briefly at them and it looks like they're just place holders for now to show that you can now add your own political parties.". Brad, you can use them, I started a new game with universalists, so it works, but you get the trade +20 bonus.
No, MythicalMino, I meant the new parties. :)
MythicalMino, yes mate, they are there.
Brad, the new political parties, are they implemented in full? I mean, I see two new parties: Industrialists and Universialists. They both get Trade +20, but the details show completely different race bonusses.
I just mentioned the Drengin part if it indeed could make a difference in either showing or not showing the update (since you guys apparently were not able to see the update in SDC, and I can). It makes no difference if you "only" bought Galciv, the updates are available to everybody.
