frogboy mentioned that his backstory said that those races who were touched/infected by one of the original "gods?" looked like humans. and that all major evil changes in the galaxy tended to be caused by them because they were touched.

the excellent looking diplomatic aspects, the moral choices, the ai, the feeling that stardock is not wasting time but concentrating on making a good bug free game out of the box, the way brad believed making a good ai that didn't cheat, the way brad and stardock handle customer feedback and suggestions, the humor, the way they are going to reduce micromanagement. add on top how much i liked civ2 and that they said this was gonna be like civ in space...

hey frogboy, will it link to the actual mp3s? or just a directory? or is it like the grand theft auto 3 mp3 player where you only needed windows shortcuts? or can you build mp3 lists (like winamp m3u files)? this is because i have one big directory for mp3s and don't want my humourous mp3s playing while in the middle of galciv.

and how easy are they to do? for example, i was looking at the instruction manual online. the resource icons are colored shapes that are hard for me to remember. i want to make the red triangle for military resource into a sword and shield, the pruple science one into a beaker/microscope, etc. do i have to go through hoops to edit those or are they simple graphic image files i can easily replace?

i was looking at the pic at http://www.stardock.com/stardock/articles/galciv/new-16.jpg if you are the blue empire, and you attack the purple empire and cut it in two, does anything special happen? like the smaller piece becomes a new empire, becomes easier to invade/assimilate, ships get damages as logistics run down...
