I found it... the site does tout that it can indeed change the vista boot screen.... is it worth $49.99... I very much doubt it... it seems to have alot of features... but from the screen shots, they are all things very easily done any ways.. registry cleaner, maybe that's good... they also have a free trial.... Here

if it were from Stardock I would have heard of it... it's a third party... but be careful with third party programs. Most hack the Kernel, and end up giving you more trouble than they're worth...
I think Direct2Drive is a pretty big player in it...
I love direct 2 drive, the only downside is that it took 7 hours to download Unreal Tournament, I didn't think about how big it was.. I could have driven to a best buy 200 miles away, shopped, bought it, brought it home, installed it and played several games by then... ... lol.... and I would have got an exclusive character... lol... The good thing about Stardock is the way that Impulse, and Component Manager

I will keep renewing every year that I have the money... lol... which should be for a while... one thing that people may not like about the new plan though; didn't we used to get two years from a subscription?

I think Stardock has come a long way, and I was especially compelled in the beginning by the availability of digital downloads. As for Gen 3 clients, I hope Impulse is very successful, since everything that came before it paved the way for the digital revolution that happened in their wake. Although one thing that would really be great would be the addition of third party software in areas other than games. The tying in the registration information with the Stardock.net account has worked ou

oh yeah... I didn't do the dreams thing before I upgraded... but I would assume the video ram would make the dreams run perfect... I only have a single core processor, but I still run the dreams at full performance, and notice no slow down whatsoever it's like have a standard non-moving wallpaper... I'm sure it's because of the video card... I have several docks from object dock, desktop x widgets, windowblinds, and cursorfx all running... with no slow down whatsoever... and I notice no slow dow

I would do it... I just bought an 8800 from NewEgg.com a few months ago... it has made all the difference... things like object dock seem to work better, windowblinds works better... Hyperpaint wouldn't work before... but now it does... it seems to have actually made my computer alot faster overall... but I upgraded from a standard video card, with no acceleration... so who knows... but I think you'll notice a difference too though... I also upgraded to Vista as well about a month ago... I'm n
Or am I completely off-base here?
You are exactly right... about the different castes of people here... and I feel that stardock provides a great product, and everything they make is more complete than it has ever been... I've noticed that usually people who complain (at least on the forums and such) are dumb... lol... alot of people get angry with stardock, or even the community when they screwed up with install, or the use of the product. People don't care that they are
The following should get it working for you...Uninstall deskscapes. After uninstalling deskscapes, manually delete the "C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Deskscapes" directory and the "C:\Program Files\stardock\object desktop\deskscapes" directory if the uninstall process didn't delete them. Reboot.Install deskscapesReboot.
that's basically what I said... lol ;p

it thinks you have the free version installed... it happens to me all the time when upgrading stardock stuff... I own just about everything... and I've been through it all... lol... if that doesn't work... the next step would be to delete the deskscapes folder after a second uninstall... but you shouldn't have to go that far ;)
