Lately I must choose between playing Galciv or chating here. With Two Kids/wife/career/house/pets(puppy) and all the good things that come with them time is prescious. Galciv is lots of fun, but only Brad and crew make money while they play(develope it) and even there budget is running thin.

I noticed some of the updated graphics with anomolies, but I thought the ships and planets were getting an overhual as well. Why would they show the Beta graphics when talking about the expansion pack?

Yes welcome Mayitto. Glad you decided to join us. The MWC seems to operate in waves (like the corn (bad pun)). We have these luls where a few people play and then these booms where everyone gets into the game. We are due for a boom. MAybe your joining is the first wave. :)

Well ND pulled it out. They looked like a team with 14 starters gone playing their first game against last years pack ten champs. Which is what they were. So onto Michigan. No matter who is the better team both of these teams play to each other level so this should be a great game.

I started my first game at normal and have never played anything less than that. I usually play painful/tough and up. My key as mentioned by others is trade and culture. Regardless of how you intend to win you need to be culturaly equal (if not dominate to) the AI. I often seek out the cultural wonders. Pay attention to the fine print. Some wonders increase that specific systems influence, as well as the empire as a whole. So place it on a influential system near an enemy(ies) that you want to t

I too would probably buy and expansion. For twenty dollars I would hope for some significant additions and enhancements to the game. I of course have know idea what they would be, seeing how the game is already so much fun. Would this be an opportunity to include some kind of multiplayer support?? Or is that still just out of the question (untill GalCiv. 2)
