CodeCritter: I started a game with the final version of 1.1 and am experiencing a repeating crash while loading my autosave and previous autosave after a game crash. I emailed a copy of the smartexception log to gc2bugs last night.
Norin
I have the same problem, both my autosave and previous autosave crash when I attempt to load them. It's really frustrating. I did email my smartexception info last night.
Cool, another Firefly based empire. Best of luck.
Wow, that is quite a low score.
Cool design I'd love to be able to use that in my games. Feel free to post them at the Browncoats forum http://browncoats.norin.us/forums as well
Sure are browncoats out there! We have forums at http://browncoats.norin.us/forums and a Metaverse empire at http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=empire&id=38 Hope you have fun

You can see a link to names of planets from the Firefly universe at http://www.fireflywiki.org/Firefly/CategoryPlanets?action=search&text=Firefly/CategoryPlanets Jayne's town was on Higgin's moon, I'm not sure of the rest offhand, but you can check the above linked site, it has a lot of stuff. Feel free to join The Browncoats at any time, there's no skill requirement involved.
It was capped because with Eyes of the Universe and a sensor event you could get massive sensor ranges that would bring the game to a halt performance wise. I've read that if they can manage to fix the performance issues the cap level could be raised to a higher value.
The scoring system just doesn't make sense to me. My last few games have had the same settings and finished in much the same way. Yet, one of these games received a score 3 times that of the rest and I have no idea why. I've played games since getting a 666k score where I finished with more money, likely more developed planets, roughly similar populations, and where I felt I had fought more wars. However, none of these other games have even come close to that score and I don't know why.
I love the fact that buildings are auto-upgraded. I'm much too lazy to actually try and micromanage each planet myself. The automation helps greatly in building my planets up.

Welcome
I've had minor races declare war on me for having transports that were too close to them, despite the fact that transports weren't anywhere near them. In some cases I might not have even known where their homeworld was.
There's always the element of luck too, a faction surrendering to you can give you a quick boost, along with planning wars carefully.
I've beaten the AI on masochistic without high diplomacy.
My last two metaverse games had the AI set to Intelligent I think, and then Genius. They were both political victories and showed up as normal difficulty.
To get your medals to show up your post you need to go to the edit your character section on the metaverse page and select a default character.
It works for me. Have you changed the location or name of the manual perhaps?

Were there any ships in orbit around the homeworld? You can't invade when there is something in orbit. Or perhaps you were just out of range?
Go to the metaverse page and then the edit your characters area under account. Click the default tab by the metaverse character you're using so that it's highlighted and then your medals will show up on the forum.
