Do you have the jewelcase? If so, the CD Key is on it. You can DOWNLOAD updates directly from this webpage. If you dont have the jewelcase...why? Without that you may be out of luck.

Bobo say dont need all ships. Need only what good at time. Look at attack and defense. If have ship with high numbers on defense and going to war, use them. Defenders only good to start. Them first military ships you get. Good to have one or two each system. Them not good when get ships with higher defense numbers. Then only build if running out of money. Corvettes really good early to attack. Them have good attack number and move fast. Not so good later. It all a matter of when ships avilable.

Elrikk-some good points but how do you explain the untold millions of people (kids, adults, whatever) that DONT go on killing sprees after playing GTA3 or Postal2? The point I was trying to make (but obviously failed to) was that the public wants to blame the easy thing on unacceptble behaviour. Now, bad parenting is, I'm sure, not the only factor...but I disagree with you in that I think its an IMPORTANT factor. And in some cases, the overriding factor. Time to let Bobo out of the cella

SCramble like hell to get as many planets as possible. Play nice with them. On lower intelligent levels they are fairly dumb nd easy to placate. If it looks like somebody is trying to push you around, stand up and fight. On lower levels (at least) the AI will back down and offer or accept peace if you show a good accounting of yourself. Like most bullies, a bloody nose makes em think twice. Cheers.

I dont think you know enough about the workings of the game to know how the AI gets benefits. A few of the above posts should tell you a little about what you didnt know. No walkthru that I know of. TYhe game plays differntly each time. Try building improvements that are good for morale and for the economy. You can tell what improvements do by reading the descriptions. Dont build a lot of ships until you need them...upkeep is expensive. In the start up screen, look at what the different political parties do. Pick the one with good morale and good econmy to start. At this point dont bother with trying to allocate points to other gameplay enhancements. Save that fo

The problem is you cant legislate good parenting. You CAN puff out your chest and write laws to ban Pc games, or comics or music or whatever else the experts say is causing kids to go bonkers. PC games dont kill. Idiots, assholes, thugs, creeps, monsters, and other lower forms of human scum kill. But it is good press for the politicians to "do something" positive by banning games with violence. There, that will stop the killing now, wont it? Fot the record, I believe C and C is a rotten game...nothing to do with political correctness and all that nonsense. It just stinks. So banning that game is no big deal. Its the bigger picture that worries me.

I can understand the sensitivity in Germany. But the war DID happen. That cannot be changed. What I dont understand is the harsh treatment of some games on the subject yet other games are left alone...the ones from German publishers. First Strike, BlitzKreig, Panzers etc. What am I missing? BTW, C and C Generals SHOULD be censored or restricted for content: STUPID GAMERPLAY DONE TO DEATH content. And there should be a law that prohibits sale of that game to adults. It should only be sold to dork

Very little, if any similarities at all. GalCiv is turn based, IG is realtime. Battles are handled like CIV in GalCiv vs realtime in IG. There are no ground battles in GalCiv. IG is a great game, but other than the fact that it's space oriented, the two are very different. You have to ask yourself: did you like Civilization (if you played it) or any other turn based civilization building game? If you did, you will most likely like GalCiv. Cheers

wow. I never noticed any of those. I'll have to pay close attention going forward. Hopefully, these will be investigated and if true, corrected. Good skullduggery. Having said that, however, I can say with certainty that my enjoyment of the game has not been affected. I have played and enjoyed (to lesser and greater degrees) many other games with far more unsettling bugs and game flaws. Cheers.

Bobo play on wampyre's old p500 and it work. Not play huge. Sometime a little slow but Bobo also play other games on wampyre's amd 2000. Sometimes new game slow on that. So sometime little slow on 500 not big deal to Bobo. Him think you can play GalCiv on your computer and have fun.
