Can I get an official response to playing custom music inside of GalCiv2? Someone at another site indicated that in order to play your own mp3s you have to delete the mps that are in the /music directory and replace them with your own, making sure the original file names are the same. Is this true? If so, what is the purpose of this feature? I think I can get any game that plays mp3s, do the same renaming thing, and I'll get custom lists. Is there any chance that in future patches we mi

Forget it. I've asked this question twice now and sent a query to support and have gotten no satisfactory answer. Someone said at another spot that in order for custom playlists to work you must replace the mp3s with your own but you must maintain the original mp3 names. This is ludicrous, if true. Stardock has not responded to my emails at all. Though I like GalCiv2, I am disappointed with the support you get and with these GOD-AWFUL forums. To say they are cumbersom

It seems rather strange, that even though this option to play your own mp3 files is documented in the manual, that the issue has been totally ignored by the makers of GalCiv2. Alanb

The manual claims you can run your own playlists. Is this possible? There is no option for it in the game and after messing with the *.ini file I still haven't found a way to make this happen. So what is the deal on using personal playlists? Alan

The funny thing is, is that I've contacted support and it has been over a week and still no reply. I cannot get download links forwarded because my email has changed. Until support does that, there's nothing I can do. I thought that maybe, just maybe, I'd hear something a little sooner. Can it really take a week or two? Alan Bernardo ~SDC~

Some time back I purchased and downloaded Galactic Civ. Since that time, I've uninstalled the game but now want to reinstall. I no longer have the original install file, but still have my serial number and the original email of purchasing information. I contacted support but have heard nothing from them. Is there somewhere that I can again download the game? Thanks, Alanb

"Which build of GalCiv are you running and where did you get it?" I don't actually have the game, Frog. I was considering buying it, though, and wanted to know about playing the game in a window. I run a dual-monitor system, so running something in a window has its distinct advantages. I was hoping the game could be played in something higher than 1024x768, full screen. I will wait to see what others say before I decide on whether to purchase the game or not.
