You can build a factory with the right techs. You can also uncover exotics on your planets if you invest in them (I always go the research route to get the factory because it's predictable). Keep in mind this is a Tech Preview. The point is to make sure the new engine works on people's computers. We also want to start getting some feedback on some of the new mechanics (like orbiting planets). Outside of that disclaimer I know the team has been talking about what to do if you l

We are investigating. Is anyone else running into this issue?
Ah ok - my mistake. I went looking for the research and saw the brighter (not grayed out text) and thought I had already researched it. Thanks!
Good to hear, thank you
Old-Spider is right. You probably see it in the upper left hand corner as being currently researched. If you don't have access to large hulled ships after you unlock it please let us know.
I cant wait to try your game. And I'm skipping reading the spoilers until I do.
I believe it starts counting with the tile the constructor is in. This is actually why we added the lines, it was do nebulous to see the range without them, and we don't want players having to count them.
yeah, we may need to take some of the transparency out of that graphic, it can be difficult to see, especially on bright backgrounds.
Awesome! I decided over the weekend to start a new game to give it a shot! I used your settings from above, but with one change that you discussed, turning AI tech trading off. I decided if multiple people were all going to play the same world, reducing the randomness of how the AI trades, if at all, is reasonable. I used the same 4 races in the game, but decided the Festron would be my race of choice. Here is the game if an
Yeah, this is a good point, I'll update it. Thank you.
Thank you for posting this. I would also love to see if anyone notices the pattern to when this happens. As you stated it is set to not do this (and that works in testing). There must be something else going on.
Looks interesting! Is there a way to restart from turn 1 to see how long we can last, or do we just have to move forward from turn 84?
I think that's a good idea. Next time I'll grab a turn 1 save and we can all play from the same starting position and see who can get farthest.
I don't play multiplayer, but I decided to download your save and check it out. I played without much of a problem. The AI were sending ships to attack my colonies and the Festron were sending lone transports to attack my core worlds. I could destroy them without too much trouble. I would lose a colony occasionally, but I could take it back soon after. I would lose some ships, but I could replace them without much trouble. Things got better
Update 1.05 added Survival Mode to Multiplayer. In Survival mode, all the AIs are locked in permanent war with the human players and allied with each other. They also receive bonuses that increase over time. The AI will win, the question is, how long will you last? Or in a MP game, which human will last the longest? But you don't need other humans to play MP in GC4, so I setup a Survival mode game to play all by myself. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/6
This will be fixed in the next update.

This has already been a bloody game. The map is fairly packed and my neighbors (the Torians and the Festron) spread quickly. Usually, I would try to convince one of them to join me in a war against the other. But I'm playing the Arceans and we have access to some great commander warships, and I'm not interested in sharing. Instead, I pick the weakest of the two (the Festron) and attack at full force, hoping the Torians stay out of it. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/6
You are right. I'll fix it before 1.05 goes public.
No, 1920x1080 is the min resolution
Im not able to repro this by filling up all my planet tiles. If anyone knows a way to repro this please let me know.
