Yeah, you are totally right. I will change it so that Command ship roles more accurately match their intent. This will mean many (especially the 2nd and 3rd tier ones) will become Support and Capital ships.

Yeah, that's a really good idea. We will make the change.
Old-Spider, you are the best. Im going through all of these. Thank you.
We have lots of stuck turn fixes in 1.04. I loaded you save in 1.04 and it got to the next turn without an issue so this should be fixed for you. 1.04 is currently available on test.
The game uses the term "Manufacturing" in more than one sense. In the Harmony ideology tree, the first trait (I believe it's called Unification) gives a manufacturing bonus to the home world. However, this does not affect military production, only "social" production. On the other hand, the Perfect Production trait (capstone to Creativity) gives 20% Manufacturing empire-wide, and this does affect military production

I wasn't able to repro this crash with either 1.03 or 1.04. So I suspect it was fixed in 1.03. Please let us know if you continue to have issues.
Today I decided to play a game as the Xeloxi. They are a tough civilization to play - so much so that I almost put a warning on them (as well as a few other civilizations) stating that they weren't a good selection for first-time play
This will be fixed in the next update.
I have gathered a lot of typos, bugs and other problems into two documents. Some of them I reported many versions ago, but they haven't been fixed. Others are new reports. One document (GC4 101 Bugs Part 1) has typos and similar errors that can be fixed easily. I also have the reports sorted alphabetically by the name of the file containing the problem. I don't think they will take very long to fix,

Hmmm.... it doesnt think you are logged into Tachyon so it's disabling the workshop, metaverse and multiplayer. Im checking it out here.
This is fixed in 1.02. You don't have to download anything from the workshop to fix it once you have that update.

The good news is that your problem reproduces. You have 2 support ships attacking a starbase. Hivebase One (a carrier) and a Probe (which has no attack). Both ships are set to hang back, Hivebase One because it's a carrier and the Probe, because it can't attack anything. Each round both ships look at each other and effectively say, "you go ahead" and neither does so they are both sitting stationary. On the other side is a starbase, it cant move. So they
You know ive generated a lot more maps and sometimes it does seem to have more. its just the nature of the RNG. I'm going to make them even more rare on rare to prevent cases like your game.
I did a few rebuilds with Rare hostile entities and it seems right. For example, here you see one set of sentinels in my starting sector. But it is random. Can you let me know your other map settings? (starting sector size and map size)
You may as well junk the advisors for all the good they do. My least favourite insists on warning: "Be wary of [X-race], they dislike you". The fact that you destroyed "X-race" several years ago doesn't seem to matter, and only serves to make the advisors look like idiots.
I agree that we need to pull that for dead civilizations. Outside of issues like that the advisors are very handy for new players.
Why do
Are you playing MP on 1.01 or 1.02? Is everyone trying to play together on the same version?
That is not the intent, this will be fixed in 1.02.
