Grrrr Hope they tone this one down, just happened again, i had barely researched Battleax's once again, and missed the Evil growing message, grrrr once again they destroyed me totally in 15 minutes :( They need to be toned down, or made a late game Random Event..how the hell am i meant to even hold my ground against their ridiculously powerful ships when i have only just begun making my battleax defense ships? ~SDC~

Also, isnt it a bit lame that in the later game, the only way to get a planets moral back up is to ship off a 1/4 of the population. This for me is incredibly annoying when i have 30+ planets all suddenly dropping to 30% moral, despite i have almost every tec and building to reduce moral, also for my civ bonus i selected the Joyous trait, and the govt style thet adds +20% moral, looking at my civ bonuses, i have a +60% moral, but i still dont have a planet over 40% moral. Hi All, I'd like to see the Draginol "Something evil growing on your planet" Event Toned down. I played a game yesterday, medium map, i was doing well, i had rush colonised 20 planets, and had researched battleAx's to combat the Yor who declared war on me. Suddenly about an hour into the game, i got the Message saying that Something Evil was growin on Earth, i sure as hell did'nt want to abandon my capital, so i left it. 10 turns later it converts to draginol, 10 minutes later

(Despite spending a fortune on propaganda too!
Hmm any way i can change my Metaverse ID, i have a nasty feeling i cocked up and put my real name in there too. Thanks again :) ~SDC~
Cheers! ~SDC~
This is obviously my real name, which i dont really want to be my ID. I want to change it to 'Nirvana' how do i do this? thanks ~SDC~
Hehe dunno It suprised me so early, didnt expect my capital to revolt, and start spewing out ships with 30+ attack, when my best defense ships are 5def hehe. Next time ill try shipping them all of the planet and back on again. ~SDC~
hehe i on game 7. Lost all of them so far :\ Maybe ill turn down the AI to Bright or something..Beating Civ on Deity wasnt so hard after all ;) ~SDC~
Yup happened to me this morning :( Had to quit my game..i had only been playing 45 mins and just researched BattleAx's, then my Capital revolts and bang, im seeing ships i have never been advanced enough to research in any of my games. Kinda sux that this can happen so early and totally wipe me out : ~SDC~
Ahh ignore the tech tree, i see Javascout has a text PDF with all the techs one..WOW far far more to research then i thought :D ~SDC~
Thanks D'oh me, neither my G/F nor myself even noticed the detail tab on the planet screen!! Grrr silly me! Thanks for the info on the Tax, guess that makes sense. As you can probably tell im a Moo player, sadly until a few patches i dont think i'll be playing Moo3 much anymore. JavaScouts site is pretty cool, although i would prefer a printable copy of the whole tree, no matter how bad the quality. A few more Q's. 1. Elections, Do you know how the parties gain power,
1. Moral, i found a class 26 Planet, and after about 20 turns i notced moral was 30%!! i built the only 2 buildings i had to increase it, and it went up to 50%, 5 turns later its back at 30%...isnt there a "entertainer" option liek in Civ? Do Garrisoning ships at the planet work? This is very frustrating as my overall approval rating is 28% :\ None of my 20 planets have moral higher than 50% right now..this seem weird, as a few turns ago most were at 60-90% 2. Trade, Is Trade worth it?
Sounds like you bough the game expecting things it never claimed to offer :) No one here is going to force you to play Gal-Civ, not everyone is going to adore it like many people do. Im sure you could easily get your money back if your not satisfied. you come here for justification of the game, but only yourself can convince yourself its fun :P im not gonna give you my speil about how it rocks, if you dislike it as much as your post indicates, just chalk it up as a mistake and
..but im suprised to find i actually play Gal-Civ exlusively over the last 5 days or so. I kinda look at Moo3 with a different light now, and realise that it is incredibly rough around the edges, and just not as fun as it could have been. Congrats to Stardock for this game, it has refreshed my perspective and experience with 4X games. No more talk..must play..
Ok, I downloaded the 89Mb game on my 56K fine while i slept the other night, took about 5 hours. However the 366Mb multimedia has been downloading for upwards of 15hours so far, it keeps stopping installing (Normally when im at work and cannot manually start it up again.) Im worried that when i install finally, it may be corrupt. Anyway i can get a cd as backup? i dont want to ever have to download 450Mb again on 56k!!!! my poor phone bills :\ Thanks!
