Aye ;)And 5 days ago we were 15,000 points behind you, today we are 3900 behind :D all we need is a few guys to post 1500 scores and we are level. Hmm *runs off to finish my lates game* :P ~SDC~
Nirvana_CN
Yes bb. Others have done this succesfully, and even managed to upload the scores to the metaverse after. ~SDC~
Its also advisable to spread trade around civs, having 800bc/month with one civ may be cool, until they decide to declare war and you suddenly lose all your trade in one go. ~SDC~
Thats cool terminator :D Who cares about making stars..when you can blow them up though :D ~SDC~
No due to legal reasons on privacy i beleive. I can imagine the devs manually compiling data and releasing an AI strategy update sometime in the future though. ~SDC~
Haha i broke my leg a few weeks ago..so no work, and computing is the best way to pass time. Even the G/F seems to enjoy playing it too :D Dont worry Apolyton is slowly catching you guys up hehe. Maybe frogboy saw your post stating " 1 by Veteran Asharak - 4/10/2003 11:40:47 AM IIRC, you should install SDC before installing GalCiv. - Ash " and promoted you LOL ~SDC~
Must be that Veteran tag ;) they think you know something hehe ~SDC~
Turn off cultural conquest then? ~SDC~
If you didnt like Civ2, or SMAC, if your looking for tactical combat, if you dont want a tech tree. Well sorry Gal-Civ aint for you, i would say go get Moo3, but i cannot recommend that travesty of a game to anyone :\ although you say you loved moo1, have you got moo2? that was one heck fo a cool game ~SDC~
Is your balance in the red? Checfk your econ screen, are you loosing money per month? ~SDC~
This would be great, right click the tech and you get a little popup box describing it :) ~SDC~
I downloaded SDC first. Then downloaded Gal-civ, then the multimedia, then the bonus pack, and then the patches. I have had zero problems with patching. Frogboy said to install stardock first iirc ~SDC~
Am i right in thinking i can just extrapolote these figures? I use the +15%PQ trait, and regularly have planets in excess of class 26? Or are planets over 26 pointless and thus the Last improvement on high class planetsis useless? Cheers ~SDC~
Thought this was normal, or just me, but yea i get flooded on loading games too. ~SDC~
Opps, silly forum, weird that i was just looking too, as my cousinn seems impressed and wants it for his b/day next week. shame that amazon still have it at 39.99 tho ~SDC~
And its currently 11th best selling game, including PC console etc. ~SDC~
Also what other techs?? Try researching Advanced trade, or cultural Trade, the AI is willing to give 3 or 4 techs for it, or large sums of money per turn. ~SDC~
How is the AI getting an edge? You can research the tech in one turn. The AI values military techs highly. ~SDC~
Sigh i already replied in the other post, so wont in here. I personally would rather Frogboy spent his time adding some of the "Suggestions" to the game, rather that fixing a diplomatic Cheese theory every day, this is making a maountin out of a molehill, Def Theory takes one turn to research your self after you set up a few planets its not game breaking, its even logical as the AI is always loath to part with techs that enable us to get a military force against him. Whilst i repect you
A "lock slider" feature for the military, research and social sliders. :) ~SDC~
hmm wish there was. Come to think of it, a "lock bar" button would save me time trying to balance them up :D ~SDC~
Aye it is, i do this a lot, i trade things to the AI to fund my research, normall when the year end comes up im doing 60%+ of all research ;) I save the Research anomalies for the important techs, such as Advanced trade (A Gold mine for selling it on) and the Battleship, Dreadnaught etc. ~SDC~
Go read the instructions in the Mod forum :) ~SDC~
Opps was cut off. I never have any problems ripping the AI off, i get more for less in all my trades, im human, i know what im doing the AI is running a logical routine. It wont take you long until you realise you can make the all the AI's combined pay you 600bc/20 + for half the game to fund 100% spending. ~SDC~
Throngor, its not really unbalancing. The AI is loath to part with techs that lead to new ships all through the game. Lets face it, by about turn 50 when you have a lot of your planets it takes ONE tun to research..not a lot. Im the same..i wont trade Ship related techs to any civ, no matter what they offer me. In my 15 games i have not found it unbalanced at all. Mythor is right about playing the game more mate :) When you do you realise certain civs value certain techs immens
