Haha i broke my leg a few weeks ago..so no work, and computing is the best way to pass time. Even the G/F seems to enjoy playing it too :D Dont worry Apolyton is slowly catching you guys up hehe. Maybe frogboy saw your post stating " 1 by Veteran Asharak - 4/10/2003 11:40:47 AM IIRC, you should install SDC before installing GalCiv. - Ash " and promoted you LOL ~SDC~

If you didnt like Civ2, or SMAC, if your looking for tactical combat, if you dont want a tech tree. Well sorry Gal-Civ aint for you, i would say go get Moo3, but i cannot recommend that travesty of a game to anyone :\ although you say you loved moo1, have you got moo2? that was one heck fo a cool game ~SDC~

I downloaded SDC first. Then downloaded Gal-civ, then the multimedia, then the bonus pack, and then the patches. I have had zero problems with patching. Frogboy said to install stardock first iirc ~SDC~

Am i right in thinking i can just extrapolote these figures? I use the +15%PQ trait, and regularly have planets in excess of class 26? Or are planets over 26 pointless and thus the Last improvement on high class planetsis useless? Cheers ~SDC~

Sigh i already replied in the other post, so wont in here. I personally would rather Frogboy spent his time adding some of the "Suggestions" to the game, rather that fixing a diplomatic Cheese theory every day, this is making a maountin out of a molehill, Def Theory takes one turn to research your self after you set up a few planets its not game breaking, its even logical as the AI is always loath to part with techs that enable us to get a military force against him. Whilst i repect you

Aye it is, i do this a lot, i trade things to the AI to fund my research, normall when the year end comes up im doing 60%+ of all research ;) I save the Research anomalies for the important techs, such as Advanced trade (A Gold mine for selling it on) and the Battleship, Dreadnaught etc. ~SDC~

Throngor, its not really unbalancing. The AI is loath to part with techs that lead to new ships all through the game. Lets face it, by about turn 50 when you have a lot of your planets it takes ONE tun to research..not a lot. Im the same..i wont trade Ship related techs to any civ, no matter what they offer me. In my 15 games i have not found it unbalanced at all. Mythor is right about playing the game more mate :) When you do you realise certain civs value certain techs immens
