The new system should definately in someway encourage more honest critique of submissions and lessen the use of sugar coated criticism for fear of being verbally punished for speaking one's mind.
I agree ;)
Still don't see fonts for classic widgets, Hide start menu shadow is still just eye candy, it does nothing.
:( Guess I'll hold off on updating. May try the update from SDC though ... I'd like to keep SKS5 until SKS6 has the capability to do it all. I would use SKS6 exclusively if it could do everything SKS5 can do ... Thanks for the feedback, guys ;)
I was feeling risky this morning so I went to download the SKS6 update and it gave me a message that a previous version needed to be removed. Can I get confirmation that it removes SKS5 or 6? Both? EDIT... I decided to leap. CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!! It uninstalled SKS5. shoulda went to church first.
NT, was that the update in Impulse? Neophil installed it from SDC and it didn't uninstall SKS5. Same version numbers but maybe th
Happy Birthday! :D
Try changing from server US2 to US1 in Internet properties (i got it on US1 server)
That was it, neophil! Thanks! :CONGRAT:
nope it's noticed as 6.10a.032 as well in SDC
That's odd ... my SDC shows version 6.09a..026 dated 5-22-08 :NOTSURE:
I just installed the latest SKS6 beta (with SDC) and still get SKS5 installed (no kind of message telling me SKS5 have to be uninstalled) on XP SP3
Thanks, neophil ;) Is that version 6.09a..026? Anyone tried the Impulse version of 6.10a.032?
John, I haven't tried it but you can browse to www.impulsedriven.net on IE6 and see the same things as in the community tab in Impulse. You will probably need to login first .. I would hope the page would render fairly well ... ;)
Neil, you are probably the person who can answer this question. There have been a few people report that the latest beta of SKS6 uninstalls SKS5. Is this the case? Can we still run SKS5 and the latest SKS6 on the same machine?
:HOT: I was able to make out most of what she said ;) Any idea what dialect was spoken towards the end of Pink Floyd's "Several Species of Small Furry Animals ..."? Really tough to make that out.
Happy Birthday Quentin! I wish for good things for you and your family. :D
Impulse shows an update for SKS6 6.10a.032 ... don't know the date it came out; Impulse keeps putting the current date as Latest Update date, but I think it's been out for a week or so and followed 6.00.003 .. which is where I'm still at. SDC shows SKS6 at 6.10a.026 dated 5-22-08 See this thread [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/314374/page/1/#1761577"]WWW Link[/link] for more info I'm hoping we can get some 'official' word ... waiting to hear back fro
Can't help you here ... I've run the Stacks docklet for a while now with OD+ and haven't had any trouble with it. Just as an aside .. may or may not be pertinent ... OD+ used to crash on startup occasionally when I was using AVG 7.5 ... since updating to AVG 8, I don't think it has crashed once.
For the record.. SKS6 and SKS5 can exist on the same PC so you can use sks 5 if it's still available through stardock central.
I'm still trying to get a definite answer, but that may no longer be true, NT I've gotten a few reports that the latest beta of SKS6 *asks* you to uninstall SKS5 ... don't know if that is mandatory or not. Haven't tried installing the latest SKS6 beta yet .. don't want to bork something until I'm sure SKS6 will do everything that
Wow that's a hell of a list pictoratus. I think I'll follow the spirit of ALMonty's post (which he obviously doesn't do or I wouldn't have just been reading it ) and read those bumper stickers tomorrow
 :CONGRAT:
No an update implies new features. The latest version is meant to correct the activation issue you are describing where multiple parts need activation or it asks for activation each time. If you are still having these troubles try uninstalling, restarting, redownload/reinstall through Impulse, then restart again before you run the software. If after that you do that and you still get the same problem we have some account work around support can supply to you. Just let us know.
<br/
Impulse is showing an update to IP dated 6-16-08, but the version # is 4.00.166 Wasn't this version released a week or so ago to fix the install activation problem? Is this really an update?
Being able to report that would be helpful, for all those "buy nike, armani, blah blah" spam threads.
+1
It still does not mean the person used it, they could download it, then delete it from their system without even trying it.
True ... but at least the person had to put some effort into it!
I take it the button that says 'Report' just to right of the thumbs up button (to give karma) is just decoration and has no function at this time? ... started to click it just to see what would happen but didn't want to report Bebi ;)
I don't think there should be a ratings drop-down until download has at least been activated.
+1 and ditto for comments ... I realize the likelihood of this getting implemented is practically nil, but it's nice to dream ;)
