I kind of expect them when they start allowing for unit metal reclamation (instead of dissolving). Didn't even know this was on the horizon. Now THAT sounds pretty cool.

I lied. Last post. Any hope of seeing downloadable game recordings? These are useful in learning and refining strategies. Would love to see this feature added. So, like, at end of game, I have option to DL the recording. Would be great for marketing too! Share those epic wins! (I know I pulled one or two out of the hat last weekend th

Don't mean to spam. I'm just offloading from weekend thoughts, for what they are worth. I read somewhere that part of the motivation behind Ashes was more units, more guns, and way more explosions. Sounds awesome in theory. Any one else missing the last item in that list, though? The explosions? They are present (sort of), but could be a lot prettier, no? </

I realize that T1 is probably not supposed to be viable in itself. BUT... I also see that if you don't take your second node with your engineer during the first 60 seconds of the game, then you end up at a huge disadvantage. The situation is made even worse if your opponent goes Rad for their first expo, followed by Airport, followed by obnoxious bombing against your central command. Would it be so bad to have just a lit

I noticed over the weekend that I was ending up with unexpected grouping configurations. I would box some units, or individually select a few, and then would send them somewhere. And all of the sudden, they became a group. In some cases, would happen with engineers. In some cases, would happen with military units. Seems strange. And it wasn't consistent

If I may add to the OP list: Would be great to have a little more control over how literally an army responds to commands. For instance, when dealing with a command to attack a node that has another node nearby: 1. Keep strict formation, attack only the target node and its units, Totally ignore other nearby node and troops 2. Handle the combat with moderate autonomous discrimination, attack target node, but defend ag

I noticed over the weekend that when I selected multiple buildings, and tried to control them, I was having some issues... Ex. Select multiple factories, and turn on/off production... would not be applied to all of the factories. Ex. Select multiple factories, and turn off repeat orders... would not be applied to all of the factories. More generally, I am still a bit foggy on what is going on when multiple fac

I'm rank 7 now, and I'm starting to win more frequently. In fact, I just beat someone ranked 1. So I know I must be starting to do some things right... or there are a number of people who have collectively decided that I deserve to finally win a few matches. Here is the deal: I am starting to notice more and more that controls and their effects aren't always entirely reliable/intuitive.

Seems good advice, but am not yet at point where I can do all that. I spend a lot of time clicking on things ;) .. not to mention I still am learning which troops I should use to counter...

DOn't know if it's just me, but I have found limited use for radar. Sure, it's range is reasonably far. BUT, I have noticed that having an apolo is a reasonable alternative, because they fire pretty far too. So when they start firing, I know the opponent is close. Just sayin. Granted, I'm not winning so frequently just yet. :)

I hadn't considered that scenario. SO, if I understand that last post, when you are creating new units and structures that require both types of resources, you will stall out in mid-production when one of the resources depletes??? I guess this makes sense. So, in that scenario, presumably the non-depleted resource would build-up... and eventually you would be wasting resources??? So the resolution

Am just popping this to top of list again... I think this is an interesting thing to ponder. I don't know if there is any strategy to resource management at this point... but would be curious what others think. What strategies are you applying. The above just represents my own thoughts on the matter. Am still just trying to figure everything out...

I frankly don't care how they resolve the priority, but... it needs to be clear.. whatever they decide. Granted, the availability of both options does seem to pose certain challenges/difficulties.

OK... so let me clarify. When you produce at a factory, as far as I know, the unit will pop out and go to a rally point that you define. However, when you call for reinforcements, as far as I know, the unit will become part of the army (without extra clicks), and will proceed directly to its place in the formation. These two things can happen simultaneously -- meaning you can have a queue at the factory AND be calling for re

So, I played last night, and of course the computer "orbital drone thingied" me a bunch of times. I tried to buff with a number of appolo, and it didn't make a difference. I was still pummeled by the damage. Doesn't seem like there is a reasonable counter, other than retreat. And you get trounced as you're turning tail too.

I'm a Stracraft II devotee. Seems like they have worked out their asymetrics pretty well. It can be done. Doesn't always ruin the game. Can make it really good. I generally play a single SC race.. literally thousands of games. I've even become decent at it. I find that my strategies are PARTLY defined by the races of my opponents. And the game... as a strategy exercise... has taken a LOONG
