Moral is strictly determined by how you react to various events on your planets. Morale, on the other hand, is much more complex. ~SDC~

Are you limited to a single name in the Metaverse under your email address? After my first game I decided to use a different name and none of my games are showing up. Anybody else having similar problems? ~SDC~

User Defined Playlist in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I still don't understand how this works. I have loaded a user defined playlist, but when I enter the game it's just cycling through the songs at the bottom of the screen and there is no music. How do I make the songs actually play? ~SDC~

All I know is that I need a Strategy Guide because I really suck at this game! I haven't won yet, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can get a good start, but still can't seem to make any decent money. And on top of that, even neutral races that share my neutrality turn on me for no apparent reason. I wish we had the option to choose our starting alignment in addition to configuring our boni. ~SDC~

RESPONSE TO: #372 by Citizen Michael Puttre - 4/4/2003 11:15:35 AM Crash Report I am running Calactic Civilizations 1.01 on a Pentium IV under Windows XP. The game has started crashing consistantly after combat or some other event where processing is involved. When I reload the last autosave, I get the red screen and garbage graphics described above. I've been experiencing strange graphics and behavior at the end of a game. It usually goes something like this: I get my butt kicked and am eliminated except maybe for some ships still floating around. The game continues. I disband all remaining ships and get the end of game cut scene. I then get to the Save Game menu. I select Continue Game so that I can submit my score. I get a brief view of the end of game summary and then an intermittent game grid with the game continuing. I have to

The new Speed bonus doesn't give you the extra move on the first turn. For example, if you have an increased speed of 3 on your Colony Ship, you still only get the normal 2 on the first turn. ~SDC~

How about some way to tell who owns a trading vessel? All you get is the source planet name, which isn't much help. ~SDC~

Request for Race Info in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Would it be possible to have the ingame race text on the Foreign Affairs display correspond to what is said at the race modification screen? I usually play with all races randomized and it's hard to remember who is stupid and who is nasty from game to game. I would like to see the descriptions that appear at the beginning of the game somewhere else for reference. ~SDC~

Duplicate Trade Goods, etc. in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Has anyone taken note that the duplicate Trade Goods, Wonders, etc. are still being built? This was supposedly addressed in a patch a couple of days ago but it is still happening as of last night's update. ~SDC~

I don't think so. I'm running whatever is executed when you click on the desktop icon that was created by the CD installation. It gives you an initial menu with the options of Play Game, Galciv.com, Metaverse, Galactic Encyclopedia, and Survival Guide. I choose Play Game and have no idea if it's hitting an updated executable that way, or not. Version of Game? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

How do you tell what version of the game you are running? I updated using Stardock Central on both 30-Mar and 31-Mar, each night it showing me a new version available. However, both nights I then played games where multiple minor races had a "monopoly" on the same trade good. I thought that this was supposedly eliminated. How do I tell whether the download took or not? ~SDC~
