hmm... that could be it i guess. i saw an asterisk apprear once when i launched a colony ship. this made me think that it might have something to do with pop, but i guess launching the ship also left the system undefended...
ucla_vince
?
daltonian? does that mean color blind?
So did I hear that they were gonna recaclulate metaverse scores? Cause the two scores that I've submitted under the latest version have actualy brought my score down and knocked me out of the top 25...
I don't think so, no, but I could be wrong. If you don't want to win a tech victory you could just stop doing research once you reach Final Frontier, or you could disable a tech win. I usualy focus on tech when I play, and so most of my wins have been beyond human.
no, colonization events never occur on your first colony
i never noticed any espionage problems either... maybe they fixed it in the patch.
ok, 3 posts in a row, I guess I'm a little scatterbrained... but I liked the diplomacy in BOTF too... I think BOTF really had alot going for it, I'd love to see a BOTF2 as long as they didn't butcher it like they did with MOO3, but I don't think they are even willing to consider a BOTF sequal...
I really liked the starship combat on BOTF, I especialy loved being the Romulans... a cloaked sneak attack could be so devestating.
I loved BOTF... I'd love to play it again sometime. Got any links for those mods? Are they still out there?
ahh, i didn't think of that... high pop... i think i only brought over like 100 mil just like i do with all my other colonies... oops...
I tried a culture bomb for the first time recently, but failed miserably... First I constructed a Party Palace SB in the sector, and colonized a planet there. Then I bought SE, HI, and Terraforming, and then bought all the culture resist improvments available. But as I was building up the colony, it flipped over to the other side, so my culture bomb was absorbed by the enemy... Any advice?
oh, ic... it's mentioned on the front page.
it'd be nice to know what the heck you guys were talking about... :p
was that Prince of Space?
whichever movie that had Krankor in it... he had such a lame evil-laugh and the rail deaths were great "I still support the rail system!...."
I don't think it matters whether you do it all at once or one at a time, except that you would get to "re-roll" the "advantage ratio" for each ship instead of just doing one for the whole stack. it's just a matter of throwing enough troops at the planet until you overwhelm them.
absolutely. it is really tedious moving hundreds of constructors around upgrading SB after SB...
Me too, I just finished my first game under 1.3A or whatever, and it didn't register...
You want to trade between systems with high Pop and high Influence. I believe just you, but I'm not 100% positive. No. I don't know that one.
has there been some kinda of an increasing load delay built in when you reload too often? it seems that load times increase significantly if you reload alot...
some sort of "auto upgrade starbase" feature? how would that work exactly? i know what you mean though, my games always end up with all my planets producing nothing but constructors, so there are always dozens of them on the map zooming around and upgrading starbases everywhere... i guess it does get a little time consuming.
about 1000 BC total, roughly 10 for 100 turns... that's about right.
I was curious about how many points you shift on the "morality scale" for some of the different event choices, and I noticed something that made me wonder if it was working right. When I selected the "good" choice on 4 different events, I only gained 1 point each time, but when I selected the "evil" choice on a couple of the events, I lost like 20 or 30 points each time. Is that right? You only get 1 point for being good, but you lose like 20 or 30 for being evil?
all i know is this... 1)Dub-Yuh is the worst president *EVER* 2)He has an IQ of 5 3)I'm pretty sure he's the anti-christ And I too am embarrased that our President is from TexAss, however, unlike the Dixie Chicks, I'm not embarrased because I'm from TexAss, I'm embarrased because only idiots and loosers come from TexAss.
