start the game with Stellar Cartography? A file you can modify, or some kind of cheat program?

This may or may not apply to you, but I just figured out that the reason why I couldn't submit my scores was because I had SETI@Home running.
i just figured it out... if you have SETI@Home running, you can't submit your score to the metaverse... I shut it down and tried again and the score went right through...
yes, i already registered with the metaverse... i even sucessfuly submitted my very first score... but none since
i just posted about this... it's the same for me... my very first score posted, but the 3 since then have not... is someone gonna address this?
oh, here's something... is this how it works for you guys? when i click the "submit" button at first it just sits there and does nothing... then when i click it again, it quits to the desktop...
I just finished another game, and now for the third time in a row, my score is not showing up on the Metaverse. I am fully patched, and the correct user name and e-mail address were in the boxes on the metaverse submission page... so what's the deal? >:( :sniff!:
"653 by Citizen Arizona Monsoon - 4/14/2003 11:04:49 PM This game is completely unplayable. Everytime I try to build any ship, it says "no resources". I downloaded the latest patch. I tried about 20 different games. I haven't seen this bug yet here and the chances of this only happening to me is hard to beleive unless I must be missing a setting or somthing. Any suggestions or do I need to wait for over 100 turns (the amount of turns I give up)?" ok, I know this seems totaly
oh, and you should teach the AI to use SE and HI in order to colonize class 13 and 14 planets...
not sure if this has been reported before, so i figured i'd mention it... whenever you recieve (through trade) a tech that you were currently researching, unless you remember to go and pick a new tech to research (the screen doesn't come up automaticly), it just researches nothing forever, wasting all the money you put into research until you remember to fix it...
the "flagship" is the survey vessel that everyone starts out with (i think)... not that big a deal really...
5 colonies? I never have more than 2 by that point (including Earth). You spend into the red? What happens when you do that?
then I must be doing something criticaly wrong, perhaps I could use some advice... whenever I play, the AI is always *way* ahead of me in tech, and I mean from the very start... as soon as I meet someone for the first time (say less than 20 turns in to the game) they already have like 10 or more techs than I do. The first several techs take about 4 turns each to research if I put most or all of my money into tech... why are they so much faster than me? (right now they are all "bright"
Does the AI start with a tech advantage? Not sure if I read that they did, but they always seem to be *way* ahead of me when we first meet, and I usualy don't catch up until the UP votes to share all the techs...
so it's not accepting my scores because there's an underscore "_" in my name?
yup... all patched up...
No, that was my very first game... I've completed 2 games since then and neither of those scores have showed up... So I was able to post a score once, but then never again since...
sorry... i forgot a number... i'll give it a 7
just so you don't get *all* rave reviews... fun, yes... but, IMO, a little *too* basic. I fully understand that simplicity was intended, but I think that it could be a little bit more involved somehow, but maybe i'm just a micromanager at heart...
I believe the production is wasted... there is a long thread about what people think *should* happen...
I want to be able to defend someone elses planet... I was trying to help prevent one of the minor races from being taken over by the Yor, but it wouldn't let me put my ships in orbit around his planet... Is this already possible somehow?
just wondering... what do you think would most closely approximate the milky way? Gigantic and ... Tight/Lose/Scattered? ... Rare/Uncommon/Ocasional/Common/Abundant? ... I know the frequency of Earthlike planets will be a total guess really, but are there any amature astronomers out there that can tell me about the star clustering?
