I've never been a big fan of sarcasm on the internet... or anywhere really... and littering the forums with a thread intended just to patronize another poster seems childish... bah well.

OT interesting idea. In skirmish-style games like this, the more options the better. Off-topic who the heck cares about favor? There are so few items I actually use and it's so fast to get so many points... Favor points mean nothing to me anymore other than bragging rights.

[quote who="InfiniteVengeance" reply="23" id="2245186"] There's a difference. At some point the closeness of the match snaps and one team clearly breaks away. That's when frustration sets in and I move on to the next match. So why don't you when winning the blowout get equally frustrated and move on? Think about it. I've played some very effective hammer builds. Stun (including rock or teammate) + hammer is pretty much the only way to kill my erebus, and even if I dodge it usually kills most of my minions. Sedna yetis are pretty bad yeah but regulus without mines can be OK.

You mean when I'm winning? Usually when I'm winning I'm having fun and since this is a game that's kinda the point no? Losing is usually frustrating for me and since this is a game not my job I don't really have to deal with that so that's when thoughts of quitting pop into my head.

It's all relative to me. I quit when it's clear we're gonna lose and it's gonna take long enough that I'm not willing to waste that much time taking the beating. 5 kills down but a war score of 10 when the other team has war score of 4 (could happen if you just have one AI feeder in a big game) is much better than 2 kills down but you have a team of reguluses that snipe from base all game.

Just downloading doesn't really max out your bandwidth too effectively because of the way TCP shares connections. Bittorrenting is a much more effective way of capping out your bandwidth limitations since all the connections it spawns does a better job of suffocating more well-behaved internet applications from getting any bandwidth.

or find an actual solution to the problem, since in 2 of the 3 game modes a pad of paper means squat to the matchmaking system. In-game banlists would be good (so the matchmaking gives a crap about who you don't like), but I'm not sure it's helping an already-small community if everyone just bans each other. Seriously, when devs get a chance, just fix the problem. [quote who="mrlarone" reply="16" id="2244523"]how does this one go again.... ah yes: <br

Who cares if, in this instance, it was a mistake or not? Seems pretty clearcut to me: if someone is going to lose or just wants to be an asshat, they can grief everyone by throttling their connection or BT'ing, slowing the game to a halt . The only thing we can do about it is quit (yielding the win) or stick it out (producing a painful experience for all, particularly the victors) and there is nothing we can do to stop th

General concensus is you can't cheat because it'll cause desynchs. I'm not so sure about that, but I'm pretty sure no one has come up with a way to circumvent this yet, but it'll (probably) come IMO. By that time my hope is that we'll have replays you can submit to prove your case. As for language and stuff, good question.
