Obviously I was not talking about one specific player. As it has been said already multiple times, quits will always happen.
Obviously if everybody is quitting sporadically, then there is a deeper problem than fixing the AI that we are left with and we should fix that instead. Obviously if it is just one player quitting sporadically, then we should avoid that player. Are there any other cases I have to debunk
Quoting Sly_Squash, reply 23Not for me. AI at beginning = restart. AI at mid = either was gonna lose anyway or incredibly rare isolated occurrance that isn't worth worrying about. I had plenty of games where we were up against a mediocre team and had one newbie in our team who quit. In some cases he wasn't even really rage quitting, at least it didn't seem so. Those games were ruined by the AI giving gold to the enemy.
Well, at least what I am saying looks good on paper then. What is being proposed looks to me like a dirty hack even on paper. And I don't see it getting implemented anyway...... My suggestion is, if this is really something you want, is that they should implement an AI handicap option (either kill reward, health, or an option for both). Setting it at 200% means AI's get twice the health or gold reward or whatever, 50%

It also can be fun to share your best matches with your gaming buds.
You mean like in the real world where laws absolutely prevent people from killing each other? Yeah... There is of course nothing wrong with discouraging rage quitting. However, simply letting those measurements be the only solution to AI farming would be absolutely ignorant. As long as AI players can happen in the game, AI farming will always be a problem.
Not for me. AI at beginning = restart.

Personally, I kinda like it as it is.... If someone quits because of connection issues at the start, we remake. If someone quits because they died too many times, yeah you're stuck with an AI but you were probably going to lose anyway because that's why he quit. If someone quits because of connection issues in the middle of the game, tough luck. It doesn't happen often enough to matter that much. Giving the AI different award
I don't really think EoM is all that great for saving mana on an occasional spit and OMG SOMETIMES A GRASP+SPIT!!! However, an erebus free bat_swarm+bite+sleep might be worth considering...
penitance slows you down, but doesn't stun you (interrupts though). That said, the time you gain from the slowdown is mostly lost in the time it takes to cast. And surge of faith isn't *that* great except when you time it right and kill a lot of creeps (converting that to hp) to turn the tables. However, I would agree the description is a little off, but more because it makes oak seem more like a support backup demigod than what I think it is. Sure, he
The speed of light isn't fast enough to allow for a truly quality international gaming experience period. Sorry.
I usually love playing regulus as erebus. [e digicons][/e] I use the cloak of the night too so I get an extra tp that doesn't take mana (one issue erebus has is sometimes if you don't gauge mana correctly after the bat swarm you don't have enough for the bite... often since regulus is back by towers this is dangerous because you are often reliant on the bite for enough health to follow through... doubly a problem if you just set off mines)
At the time of posting this guy is 129 and 0 in custom games with 0 disconnects. I was curious and took a peak at the match list here. http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/games/player/19830/page/4 In his 9-page history, nearly every custom game is named "ds" and is a 2-player match where the other player is nobody and the result is NA (though I think it still got recorded as a win)
What Sakhari is saying is true... this isn't a place an AI can thrive.
Rook is definitely one of my least feared demigods at the moment. One cool thing about rook is that, if you tell your team to focus fire him, kill him enough, and get the human player to rage quit you have an instant feeder, since the AI is pretty much undeniably terrible as rook.
I play erebus and pretty much memorize my bat swarm (or cloak of the night) + bite dmg and mana costs, mouse over their hp, and if the numbers work out you are as good as dead. Having both bat swarm AND cloak of the night off of cooldown is another factor. Being able to bat swarm in, bite, warp out is GOOD TIMES YO!!! [e digicons][/e]
I wish this game had Gal Civ 2's calibre of AI. [e digicons]:\[/e] Of course, turn-based RTS is different, and they do get some bonuses at the high levels, but they are pretty competent IMO even at "fair" difficulty levels.
Never thought of saving that first thousand. SPEND SPEND SPEND
