Aha, thanks. Now, where do I stick it? Nevermind, I see it did it for me (a bit creepy): Debug Message: Uploading crash report Debug Message: Considering sending report to Steam Debug Message: Really sending report to Steam Debug Message: Sending data to Steam Debug Message: Completed sending data to Steam But, it's on steam somewhere. <p

Was playing along, I guess mid-game, where planets had built most of what they could, research about 2/3'rds done, and, bam, ctd. pek
I have xfired 7950's (13.12), been running like a champ so far, no hitches, glitches or bitches. pek
Right, you can choose "continuous production" of something, like in Civ V. Or you could spam the hell out of colony ships. [e digicons]*_*[/e] pek
Odd, using xfired 7950's with latest driver (non-beta), had no problem starting first time. Took my screen res, 2560x1440 right off the bat, no fiddling. Turned off bloom, didn't like the effect from any other game. Oh, win 8.1 64 bit here. pek
I really want my miners to exploit. What good is being ruthless unless I can exploit someone?
Excited with GC III so far. Going to ignore the obvious "Placeholder for future comments" stuff. Like (after 15 min or so playing, just had to get this post up): The "hey you have a ship to move" notice is nice. Getting free ships from anomalies (colony ship gave quick early boost and another scout was good). Had some trouble figuring out why I got +10 pragmatism until I got the next screen unlocking the pragmatism tree. Once ag
Quarterly DLC is good, no need to push something that is not ready if it's not ready..... Monster ZOC would be great, as long as it applies to ALL factions, no just the human player. And while I'm at it, adjustable aggression would be nice. Diplomacy improvements are a great idea, too, not sure what happened to the whole "the longer you trade with a faction, the more likely they are to make favorable term/treaties" with you concept went. And, giving a facti
I love the loot (could be more variety, though). Love building up my ancillary units more than the heroes, esp. with a sovereign that can give them some magic. I'm done. pek
Because I forgot to quote from the post: There is a silver lining in this in that, for the first time, I've had to really start training someone on AI programming who has been implementing the core parts of the AI (I still design the AI but I'm not the one coding the AIFindClosestEnemyUnit() type stuff now). So the net effect is that you'll have 2 people doing just the AI instead of 1. What, no single point of failure? &n
Test for badge, ignore, as if people don't, anyway. Edit: Ouch, join date 2003? That long ago? This must include Drengin.net accounts. pek
I see the change in reaction for fighting somebody and then claiming your reward after defeating them, but then you attack, then end up on the goodie hut, you have to back off a square THEN move over the goodie hut to actually get your reward. I think you went one step too far in your fix for the multiple popups after/during a fight. I have a custom sov, and with the latest version I don't have my beautiful picture on my book page at the very start of the game anymore.
Ok, here are the versions/size. SDC says it has .980.1, I download. I already have .980.063. I run the exe for .980.1 and it says that I already have the current version installed. Existing version name is FallenEnchantress-.980_update_setup.exe size 189,460 kb New downloaded version Elemental Fallen Enchantress 0.980.1.exe size 197.191 kb So they are different sizes, whcih to me means different versions, but I can't load the .1 upg
Stardock central popped up and said I had one waiting, .980.063(?), installed it, opened a game but it didn't include the minor revs on the splash screen. Then I checked again, said I had .980.1 ready to download & install. But, once I had it downloaded, it said I already had the latest, which is .980.063? Stardock central rounding up? pek
It gets absorbed(?) into the city it's adjacent to, check the details of the closest city, it will show on the building inventory. pek
Stardock has always been very good about telling you the save isn't compatible with whatever version you've loaded, so my comments are based on Stardock betas back to galciv II. I always expect them to say if a save won't work, I guess we have different expectations from Stardock. pek
But, oddly enough, I got next to another of the enemy cities, it was empty of structures a turn after a conquered the other sity I COULD see after a reload, it's not consistent. Magnar gave up before I could capture it, thereby losing any use it might have been or the ability to found another city there. strangely enough, someone else declared war on me right after Magnar gave up they razed one of the cities I had just captured, and I saw that you could found a city on the sam
No, it's common sense that if the dev's didn't want you testing it, they would have added code to block loading older rev saves. But, after I saved and exited to make my post, after I reloaded the new version save, I saw the city structures, before and after I conquered the city/town. So there is an issue between revs with the structures showing up, but saving with the new version got the structures back. So probably not a bug per-se. pek
May be because I loaded a .952 save, when I approached an enemy city, all that appeared was the outline and the name/faction label, there seemed to be effects showing, pool of water rippling, smoke rising, but no buildings, and I am right next to it. On the plus side, since I had to start my games fro the command line with username/password, the first time I started .980 a popup asked me for my login info, so maybe now i don't have to run form the command line.
I was in the pits of namtur (the one with all the goodie cave), winter of 237, I was on guard with my sovereign stack waiting on a group of pioneers to be built, hit return and it crashed. Sent the debug.err to stardock support. Also, I defeated all the monsters in the waerloga the dragonlord, including old waerloga, but I couldn't claim the resources, it stayed orange, unless it had some monsters under water in the thin strip of water next to the area, which has happened befo
You can also start it from the command line (cmd): 1. Open cmd. 2. Go to the directory that FE is installed in (may vary, I use f: for programs): F:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\FallenEnchantress. You may need to move to the root of the directory your program files are in, first "f:" 3. Start FE with your username and password that was used when you bought it (ie., your stardock, or for the oldies among us, your drengin.net username/
About 2/3 of the way through, I get an offer from Resoln: We think it would be best for the world for you to go to war against [S_Otherplayer]. We would be willing to offer you 44 to convince you of this. The only choice is continue, so the game knows this is screwy, but Resoln does this about 10 times in a row before it stops. Well, that's a little low for my services, even if I knew who that was and what, exactly, they were offer
Just got mine, shipping in US is $11.11, pretty rock bottom considering all that weight. pek Besides, I need something to show for the years I've put into this.
The other items, so far, have another use besides selling it (herbs, weapons, spells, books) and value, this is the only item that has no intrinsic use EXCEPT TO SELL. M4-rk was just snuck in (nobody has reported it before this week, anyway). Unless the devs are dangling it in front of us to play with our emotions, what other use does it have except to sell at full value? And if it only for sale, how can it have a separate price and value if it doesn't have any other use
Well, for something that has no use (you can't use/equip/beat someone to death with it) and all you can do is sell it, the value & price should match. pek
