You can't use 3 GPUs I'm afraid, the devs have said mGPU currently only supports 2. There are already 2 in the 7990 so you can't combine that with the 960. As DX12 mGPU is different I think you actually have to have CF turned off for it to work correctly. Then you boot up in dx12, tick mGPU in the options, restart the game and for it to work...Though as yours is two cards in one this may cause problems? I don't know about that.

I had this problem twice. To avoid restarting your computer set the game to Borderless Windows Mode. This means that you can hit shift+ctrl+Esc and the window appears on top of the crashed game and you can then close it from there without restarting the computer. I did a benchmark with Full Screen and Borderless window mode and suffered no performance loss. Also I haven't actually had the problem since I switched to borderless window mode. Not sure if related or for some other reason.

I like the idea of building progression/upgrades. 25 sounds pretty decent, not including the navy. Not sure about replacing existing units as I can get attached to a design. Though if the new ones looked a lot cooler then I might be able to live with it :)

Ouch. And yeah, PHC AA turret is weak . Played a bigish 3v3 game last night and over the course of the game I built ever more AA turrets around and beyond the HQ and a decent number of fighters in order to try and stop this sort of thing. Earlier in the evening on the same map a teammate had just got a large number of bombers and gone bang bang and took two of the other players out. A couple of minutes later bang went the 3rd. The opponents were relatively new players but stil

You could also try turning of a-sync compute in the games .ini file as that seems the most obvious thing from a layman's point of view (me :)) where Nvidia GPUs may hiccup on (in case it is Nvidia cards only).

The problem seems common enough that it looks like it is either a game bug or a driver issue rather than peoples hw/sw. All the cards people list with this kind of problem here or on Steam forums seem to be running Nvidia. 3rd option I guess is a common piece of software that all the users have which causes

Wow, if it is as bad as you guys say I wouldn't touch that company again. Try a different company and then ask the community to have a look over it. For the translations to not make sense, ouch. Always try and get a native German to look at it. When I studied Chinese with native speakers from China we started to use the BBC's Chinese website to look at the news. But we kept finding grammatical mistakes and sometimes the way words were used were not the way a native speaker wou

I don't know how OTC plays but the designer is Soren Johnson and it has to be said he's a bit of a legend at this point I think, so I'm not surprised the game is good and I'm glad it is. I will make a quick comment on 2 things you said after taking a quick look at ATC. I played and enjoyed Civs 1 through 4 but I did not enjoy Civ V either...darn it. I was also expecting this game to be quite beautiful but they have gone for the cartoony look it seems. Perhaps it will look better in motion but I'm disappointed.

On a 970 FTW here and I cant say I have experienced this but its been a while since I have done a 6 player map with tons of units so under those kinds of conditions I don't know. I play on Extreme settings at 1920x1200. I believe Terrain Shaders increases VRAM usage a lot so you could try adjusting that down a bit if you think it is a VRAM issue. Certainly a consideration if you are playing beyond 1080p. Make sure for multi-GPU gaming for Ashes that you use DX12, turn SLI off in t

[quote who="psychoak" reply="11" id="3634934"] Don't expect AMD's next release to beat the 10 series. Unless they're hiding stuff, they're aiming to replace the 390 this summer, but not the Fury cards. In which case they'll probably have good DX12 performance, but they may not even beat the 980ti since that would mean they were as fast or faster than the Fury X, let alone the 1080. If they do surprise us with an enthusiast replacement for the Fury X,

As you suspect, your CPU and RAM should be fine but your GPU isn't going to be powerful enough or have enough VRAM. Give it a month or so and you have hit a good time to upgrade your GPU. Both Nvidia and AMD are releasing a new range of GPUs which should offer good performance and efficiency. Nvidia's 1080 and 1070 are already announced, with the 1060 likely releasing in September I believe. AMD product details to be announced at the end of the month and they should offer very

It depends how often you buy new GPUs. I see people mention the concerns you have with great gusto but then they buy one of the best cards going every generation so everything always runs great and long term or directional problems don't actually impact them at all. I always find that odd, though perhaps it makes more sense if they are truly a hardcore one GPU company guy. I know gamers who will use a upper mid-range card for at least 3 years and they certainly have to think about the lon
