2v2 human vs Tough AI on a small map. Was just on the final push trying to clear out their base but i couldn't use orbitals as they were blocked. When I revealed more of the terrain they had an orbital under construction but it was not complete. However it seemed to be functioning as if it were complete. Once it was destroyed I could then use an orbital there. If it makes a difference the AI was Substrate.

I believe they are aware there is a problem with scaling, certainly a lot of people have brought it up here and on the Steam forums and I remember a Dev mentioning a bug with it. Things take time to get fixed though and with the small team they have you can' expect personal updates to your forum messages every time. Hopefully a fix will come sooner rather than later.

The put the change log on this forum and the Steam forum for every patch they do: https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/476915/page/1/ http://steamcommunity.com/app/228880/discussions/1/368542585863350912/

That is not what you wanted though, nor what I said. It does let you install the game on as many PCs as you want. As it it DRM free you could even put it on 4 computers and all your family could play the SP game at the same time. Pretty cool. But to use one version for playing MP between several people is a totally different kettle of fish. I have played games for a long time and there are not many big games which allow that. I remember Warcraft 2 allowed you to "spawn" a MP copy onto a 2nd c

I think the game can use up to 12 cores, a Dev did say once but I am a little foggy on the number, it was at least 12 though. I'd be amazed if it made the AI smarter but it would make your sim speed bulletproof for when we can play on Huge maps with 12 players. 11 AI with thousands of units is going to be a challenge I would think, unless the 12 player mentioned on their roadmap is just for MP/Humans. I've not heard of that particular Zen rumour, cool if it comes true (a

Split army button sounds useful, especially as it can be quite messy to do it yourself with all the different units made up of multiple units, so it is easy to select more of the force than you want.

You can't buy one version of the game to put on two computers and play multiplayer with the same version, and it sounds like you want to put it on 4 for 4-way multiplayer. I don't see how anybody could reasonably assume that that would be OK. The best deal you'll find is the one which has been linked for you above.
validating the files is an easy option that I find works with a lot of issues.
That is worth trying but another problem someone had was only resolved by deleting and re-installing, so a validation is still not quite the same thing.

Not sure what you mean? Do you mean you've been playing with game files but want them back to their original state? To do that right click on Ashes in your Steam Library->Properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Game Cache. This will download any missing or changed files. If you meant something else then please clarify, ta.
Well I'm not really late to the party, just hoping it would have been resolved by now: https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/471884
Well you can't change Nvidia hardware. The hardware doesn't support async compute and their DX11 drivers are already excellent so they don't get the jump like AMD when dropping DX11.

A good suggestion. It has also been suggested the line changes to your faction colour, which would serve the same purpose. Either one of them would be better than it is currently. Though a pulse would have to be soft and subtle so as not to distract.

DX11 has been a touch lower than DX12 for me since the beginning. On a 970. From what I have seen it is that way for most Nvidia users, you are late to the party :) I think you can turn off async compute in the .ini file somewhere and improve performance a touch that way. Though I've not tried it myself.
Since Ashes is a great multiplayer game, why not offer bundles, get 4 keys, pay for 3. Stuff like this?
https://www.ashesofthesingularity.com/store Can get a nice discount there on a 4 pack. Steam doesn't seem to allow these often anymore, to do with the relatively new refund policy I think.

You mentioned that you will likely add a shield regen unit to Substrate even though you'd prefer not to as it will make them more similar to PHC. I think a very reasonable alternative to that would be a T2 bubble shield unit. It is a different way to preserve units shields a little longer, or give them more time to slowly recharge under fire. It would fulfil the function you want, would be a crowd pleaser, and all while allowing the play style of Substrate to further diverge from

I don't have a problem with putting extractors onto the metal or radioactive spots, but what is a little annoying is that sometimes the first time you try and drop it on it refuses to go. Normally on the 2nd try it works but sometimes it takes 3. This bug has been around for as long as I can remember for me, it used to make a universal kind of"user has commited an error/tried something they aren't allowed to do" type sound but now it doesn't do that any more I think, but the place
No need to reset ranking really, adapt or die, ranks will balance out after a couple of days.
I agree with this. Larger changes are to be expected soon after release as things get refined after meeting the masses, and isn't it part of the fun adapting to them? I think so anyway.
