I don't think Ashes tried too hard to sell the game engine. I think a large part of it was free/cheap PR. Many game companies spend many millions of $$$ for their PR. Because Ashes was arguably the first game to do DX12 and the first to do mixed vendor multi-GPU lots of tech and gaming websites gave it plenty of free PR. I can see why it looks like they pushed the engine more than the game but if you are a company and you want to raise awareness about your product you do not say no to fre

Just to clarify, what I mentioned above was whether or not to put the free stuff we are going to get into paid DLC. If later there are full sized unit DLC for everyone and it is not free then I don't have a problem with that. I want plenty of new unit types, like Navy, more T3/dreadnoughts, the addition of T4 etc. I would fully expect to pay for those. In those cases I think most games allow people who don't have the new units to use them in MP games if someone does have them, but the
This may be a way to reward early buyers but it is likely to upset some people waiting. Especially maps as it will be seen to split the community, and even if that claim would be a little exaggerated based on just a few maps, depending on the map share options you decide upon it could potentially cause some frustrations. If you do put them in DLC I'd put a lot into one $4.99 DLC to make it very good value for money. I personally don't mind if later buyers get all the stuff we
With the Zeus weapons getting some buffs and the Brute a little weaker the Zeus will go through them that much quicker. I guess that is what it is designed for. Will have to see how it plays out. I agree with the Zeus secondary weapon buff.
They don't know how to play the game but that is to be expected, though they didn't seem to appreciate that themselves ha. If they were to be believed it did seem they faced the Drone drop a lot; I forget what the cool down is for the ability. I mean the AI would have covered the whole map by then and would likely have kept building quanta so it is possible, both AI were Substrate after all. Because the players knowledge of the game mechanics were so bad it was a little hard to judge
I can understand reducing Brute's health but doesn't, " + Brute's volley decreased from 5 shots to 4 shots" effectively reduce their fire power by 20%? They do very little damage as it currently stands. I am glad Creeps no longer recharge shields too as they take quite a while to kill and with the reduced fire power of both Brutes and Archers that would have been painful.

If you want to max out graphics at 4K then you'd likely need two 980s.
Cool that you want to try and organise a tournament but there is already a tournament running from the 11th to the 22nd. http://steamcommunity.com/app/228880/discussions/1/371918937276546158/
This thread might be of interest to you: http://steamcommunity.com/app/228880/discussions/1/371918937276633890/ The last person said the textures are better with the latest driver but the fuzzy/gray in the lower right is still there.
Excellent feedback as usual.
You cannot build in a region that you don't own.
Please do not do that. It kills all sorts of interesting play. Like building a factory or more much closer the enemy than he knows for surprise attacks. That is hard enough to do anyway so it is not an exploit. Easier to do when Splinters are off and it makes for a fun dynamic game. Locking things down rigidly risks smothering the game. Already the enemy knows what node
I think they have said gunships will come at some point. They are hard to balance but they are fun. I've never read any official word about flying Dreadnought Class units, I also think it could be cool. I hope they make the current air stuff a bit more fluid and natural looking before then, especially the bombers. The AI does start to cheat after Normal though nothing like spawning in units or seeing through fog of war. Slight eco and production boosts I beli
It's such a shame that even the final release does not support 720p.
In your instance it is a moot point really, your CPU and GPU both fall below minimum too, even at 720p your HD Graphics 530 wouldn't cut it I'm afraid.
Where is Cbray? Cbray! (ala Capt. Kirk - Khan! voice :)) That match last night...I can't believe you won haha. The killer instinct in me was gone in that game. I should have just sent the bombers to your base and ignored the dreadnought, you'd have been dead long before before my HQ got too scratched...It was especially bad as you had just said that tactic never worked for you and then...well, the rest is history haha. Fortunately later in the evening I beat Frogboy so t
Can you put up a screen shot?
I think the waiting times will be very long, but I would love it too. If they don't plan on doing it for all of season 1, which is several months long, then a good alternative would be to have 2v2 tournaments instead.
MP scenario support was listed in the their road plan for Q3 this year. It could be that that meant Steam workshop integration but may mean that at the moment it is not supported. Probably the latter, but yeah, MP scenario has huge potential.
I would have preferred voice over dialogue (with optional subtitles) rather than text. This would have allowed uninterrupted game-play during the campaign missions and I could have helped better tell the story.
Aye
Nice keep those Scenarios coming, and i will love to have to kind of tutorial on how to make Scenarios, can you guys release a step by step explanation? Thank you.
2nd half of this guide may help ya. http://www.moddb.com/games/ashes-of-the-singularity/tutorials/ashes-of-the-singularity-modding-guide
Yeah, I wish they paused the game while the chat/messages were up, rather frustrating. They just dropped a new scenario so that might give you a little more of the fix you crave :) https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/476597/page/1/
Perhaps try borderless windows mode?
Yeah, Quill had over 1000 users watching his Steam of the game and I think Brads stream had up to a couple hundred. I wouldn't expect huge numbers though for an RTS, especially as it is not a sequel.
That guy has a video of him beating the level. I didn't watch it all so don't know the specifics but at the end there was no dreadnought, he won on points before it came in.
When I did this I took all the expansions asap. Then had three separate forces for holding the eastern, southern and western expansions (I took the top one and they left it alone all game), try not to have just one army running around all over the place. I did struggle to hold the East side and that side did buckle at the end and then everything followed after so they got up the hill so it was a darn close thing in the end. That was on an earlier Founders build so dunno if that was easier or
