I use DX11 on my 970. DX12 has slightly better heavy patch FPS but lower in the other areas. Plus Steam overlay works with DX11 so for convenience sake I stick mostly to DX11 for now. Not saying this shouldn't be fixed of course.
Substrate Units! when they shoot the Blue ammo(balls of pain), they look like a complete circle that fly and it, Those balls of pain looks really blurry, the Beta 1 balls of pain look way better.
I assume you mean for the T1 martyr unit. Perhaps they could be better but atleast you can see them now, they were too small before. The one I have a problem with is the new weapon effects for the Substrate anti-dreadnought Dreadnought. I am afraid the first
Multi gpu support is not the same as SLI. Make sure SLI is turned off. Then run the game under DX12 and use the multi-GPU option in the games settings. Restart the game and try the benchmark again. Make sure you run the game from within steam and choose the dx12 option. Some people run the game from the dx12.exe or the game shortcut but both of these just run the dx11 version it seems. As for your screen problem, the resolution 1366x768 is less
Yours should work well together.
Forgot to mention before running latest 16.1.1 drivers. Yea, so I disabled crossfire for the game profile in CCC and it launched in DX12 mode. Reenabled crossfire and tried again and it froze like before so for me anyways crossfire is the issue. Is crossfire not supported yet or there is just some particular issue I am experiencing? Thanks.
CF is not supported yet, you'll have to wait on drivers
Great to hear
Look forward to seeing more of it.
I only found this out last night playing you! I thought I had taken the actual node and was putting down metal extractors but they kept blowing up. I would watch for a bit to see if some scout plane or little unit of yours was popping out of somewhere. Ha. Then I finally saw I hadn't actually taken the node and put the two together to realise that mechanic must exist and was killing my resource buildings.
I may have misunderstood you Golith but SLI is not yet enabled, that is a driver issue so you'll have to wait for Nvidia on that. Multi-GP is under DX12, SLI is under DX11, they are separate systems; there is no such thing as SLI in DX12, that is why it is referred to as multi-GPU under DX12. If multi-gpu works well for you as you state then you are good to go. Edit. Re-reading this again it could be taken the wrong way. I was just trying to write it simply so there
AMD drivers in Device Manager are shown as version 15.301.1801.1001 dated 03/02/2016.
The most up-to-date drivers from AMD are 16.2, dated 24/2/2016 so worth trying again with them.
I game did pop up. I guess everyone is just trying the single player.
I can get in the lobby but no games appear. Been about 30 minutes. I know that is not uncommon up to this point but with so many players on tonight I thought there would be some. Just thought I'd mention it in case the fix did something that meant we couldn't see games.
Have you tried with and without multi-GPU enabled? DX11?
If you put your mouse over them it should tell you their prerequisite I think. Probably need a Quantum Array?
What are your system specs? Which version of DX? Might be worth trying to see if the game works fine?
Someone put up a Beta 2 benchmark here: Still all sorts of weird stuff going on with some unit and building textures. I hope that gets fixed by release.
I'd totally forgotten about that in Supcom/TA, where selecting an engineer or factory told you what resources it was using, extremely useful.
When the game allows for tracked and legged units then someone needs to contact the SupCom2 Revamp mod guys. The art for some of their new units is amasing and they have a lot of experience. I don't know if they would leave their mod work as they have put so much into it but with the much better engine to base a big mod on then it might interest them. Perhaps 6-12 months after the game is out and there is navy too (hopefully). A new tech tree might be in the game by then too?
You sure its not your mouse? You have put two posts of the same content up :p (just joking, well 90% anyway :) ) Totally agree a content sensitive cursor would improve things a lot.
The main times I wish I had more metal storage is when I build PHC AA defences. They cost 500 metal over about 40 seconds. That results in about -20 metal hit during its production. If you have to build early game it totally stalls everything. Even in late game I would never have +20 metal to soak it up as obviously you should be using it and not letting it go to waste. But metal storage never gets upgraded as its far too expensive for what you get. I think buildings for storage work better.<
Played the game with my brother today, it was his first time so we did a 3 player map, 2 vs 1 normal AI so I could talk him through the game and he could have a little fight. (Hadn't realised how much easier Normal was than before but never mind) He played on High, DX12, on an AMD GPU. Bug 1: He would get some odd graphic effects on the map (not just the purple around the edge) and odd glitching on some of his units, he said it looked like it was flickering between differe
Love it, haven't laughed that much in a while. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent.
Cool info Frogboy and good alternative view Eviator. Interesting stuff. In ashes I sometimes jump into a game for 5 minutes to check something and pop out again, I can see that sort of thing skewing figures. For GalCiv I wonder what the charts would be like if you removed all games under an hour or two of play time (or whatever might be appropriate for that game, I don't have it to know). There is also the flip side of that where game problems/limitations put players off other siz
Played a 6 FFA against challenging AI last night on Shredded (the snow map with the 6 legged spider design). I did it to test RAM usage (which was less than 2.5GB the whole time). The bug is that when destroying the AIs bases they all had a large force of Dreadnoughts, and often other units too, in the back corner in one of the lower bits of land where the initial eco expansions are. They didn't even come out when attacking the Nexus. That is the bug. The idea (not related and mor
