I don't know if this is even related to the ship bug mentioned here, but i thought i'd toss it in. I've got this bug a few times in DA 1.8(xyz), i don't know if it extends to TA, but i don't see why it would not. If you design a ship, with say, some defenses and two plasma weapons, build it, and then upgrade the design by removing the plasma weapons and replacing them, with say, disruptors, then save the design under the same name, the ship is not saved correctly. You will end up wi

[quote]Q> I know its only beta 1 but Mars still has the old planet texture. Is this going to change for the final release? Just a question, not an accusation BTW after playing the beta in the Immense size galaxy i have submitted a minor request via the GC2suggestions email addy. Hopefully one of the devs will take a second to look at it <IMG id=ImageResi

The game should switch tracks whenever certain events occur, like war, peace, alliances, becoming good, neutral, or evil. If you don't like a song that's been looping, all you have to do is go the the main menu and select continue game, this will switch tracks.

Erm... Far be it for me to put words in stardock's mouth, but i would expect the beta to be available sometime this early evening (30th). If it comes earlier, well that would be a surprise, a nice one, but i would still put my money on this evening .

I'd like to chime in with a thank you as well. I found the chat very insightful and informative, and it was a great way for the customers to see what goes into debugging and preparing a game! Very cool!

[quote]Multiplayer doesn't always mean logging on to some mmorpg, or playing with random people from the internet. I think most multiplayer is done between friends. Me an my buddies play games together. Some big matching service isn't needed. Most of our games are lan, or direct hosting over the internet. We don't use matching services. We often use mods. But, since its private it doesn't matter. Some games may not lend themselves as well to multiplayer as others. Bioshock I can't say i

The highest PQ the game will generate naturally is PQ 26. The highest you can get, barring any mega event, is 34; by having a (base of 26) + (20% Race Config PQ Bonus) + (3 terraformed tiles) = 34. The only way you can get higher than that is a Mega Event (like Pesky described above), or by cheating. The highest you can get including a mega event, assuming you don't find yourself with a Dread Lord's homeworld to invade, is theoretically PQ 54 [(Base 34) + (60% PQ Mega Event Bonus) = 54].

I'm seeing this all the time now too. It will disappear from the shipyard screen, but not the planet build screen. Definately a B-U-G. You have to restart the game to fix it.

I don't want to say the game is bad out of the box, but you'd have to be crazy not to update it. It's 1000% more stable, and 10000% better feature wise. I would advise you to update it any way you can. Not doing so will probably make for a not so good gaming experience.
