Uh, no, it's a bug... lol

Have you tried downloading the AMD dual core update? Check the formums for a link to it.
Unfortunately, no new colors. However, the graphics of the stars are more detailed. And the stars now have some new corona or ray graphics. Also the colored stars give off different colored light now, I.E. red stars shine red light on the nearby planets.
The mod is being Beta tested right now. I hope to have it out to everyone soon.
Thank you future guy DA was born early... A fact i could not have predicted...
are you sure you didn't have a weapons animation mod activated before?
Be sure to check out my High-Resolution Graphics Mod!
u need the amd dual core driver update, search around in the stickies and u'll find a link to it
DA is released. Yes i know
Some nice screenshots for you. What strange new worlds lie in the Alcyone system? Hmmm, i wonder if princess leia lives there? <img src="http://www.dro
Yes, thanks to stardock for the early download! It's great to have so many perks for pre-ordering. You've made me want nothing less than to do it again .
Kryo's right Moral55, the resolution of the textures is high, but that doesn't mean your monitor needs to match it . If your video card is decent, and you meet the recommended specs for Dark Avatar, you shouldn't have any problems with the mod. Of course once it's released if i start hearing that tons of people are getting 2fps frame rates, i may go back and shrink some files down, but i
No word i take it?
(Citizen) dystopic February 5, 2007 19:36:38 Reply #19 also, are you introducing any new PQ-0 skins? Check out number 2 on the list of mod changes. None of the default planetary graphics will be reused in the mod. In short, this mod will: > Replace the textures for all the races' homeworlds with new, original higher re
And now for a bit of shameless advertising... If you have a good computer and a fast internet connection, be sure to download a copy of my new High Resolution Graphics Mod to enhance Dark Avatar even further with awesome high-res graphics! The release of the mod will coincide with the release of Dark Avatar on the 14th! Click on the link to see what it's all about!
Updated the updated change list above ^^^^
Okie Dokie, thanks again for all your help!
Helllllloooo out there in Kryo land
I second Kryo and Moose here, try fullscreen and see if that will solve it for you. Windowed mode is only usefull if you're a developer or modder, or you're doing a lot of multitasking. Ahh what i would give to have GC2 update in real time so i didn't have to restart every time i changed a file *sigh* .
actually i have both so the game uses the old as will as the new ones but thank you,.. both of you. Logic did you like the rings ??? The look good SirNasty, but you might want to make the blue a little less saturated (grayer) so it looks more "natural". Other than that it looks fine. <table cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center b
I beleive it's actually a GeForce problem. I have the same issue sometimes. The 2D menu portions will "pixelate" in blocks, and sometimes you'll get wild gashes. But it's all flickers, not constant. It happens immeadiately upon startup for me, so all i have to do to fix it is close and restart the game. Only happens about 25% of the time, and i can fix it by restarting the game. FrogBoy, perhaps you should send this one to nVidia, i'm pretty sure it's an issue with the forceware drivers, o
UPDATED Change list: > Mod will also increase the quality of the star graphics. > All of the (class 0) planets in the Races' home star systems will now have higher resolution textures unique to their solar system.
(Avatar) Frogboy February 2, 2007 22:43:21 Reply #13 These look awesome! Thank you! That means a lot coming from you, i appreciate it.
KRYO, just as a thought, is there any way (on my end) to adjust the game so that it uses a larger pool of images to choose from for the class 0 worlds? Right now it chooses from only 10 images, i'd like to make a bigger selection, is that possible?
I don't suppose anyone would care to comment on how early the pre-orderers will be able to download the final version eh? Ballpark figure? A day or two early? Next week maybe? Just curious... I'm set to release my High Resolution Graphics Mod alongside DA, but it would be nice to have DA a day or so before the 14th, so i can make sure no changes will effect my mod <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif"
