AI hasn't been changed in AP builds recently.
No? I am quite sure that in 1.20 you could trade Techs for money on Intelligent-Level. I used to put my techs on the table, then take as many techs from them until it becomes green, remove the cheapest one and fill the gap out with money. When I try this gap-filling now I get like 0-3 BC or so... I also had the impression that the game is much harder. While I almost won every Intelligent-Game in prio

How do you get the colony-ship into the orbit of the planet without forcing the people to leave it? I cant' even recreate what you are trying to avoid. Whenever I send a Colony-Ship to a System it asks me where to put the pop on. If I don't select any planet it pops out of the system again.

@Robert: Click on Campaign, then Restore. The Saves (inculding autosaves) for the campaign do not save in the normal Savegame folder... By the way: I think it would be helpful if the Map/Scenario/Campaign-Programes would not start in the "My Files" directory but there where I need to save the files to be able to open them in Galciv. The campaign Editor looks for *.gcs-Files but the extension is *.gcscenario However, that's not as important as the gameplay-bugs I reported.

The AI continues to put funds into research when it got all techs. I made a screenshot of that: http://civ2-forum.gamigo.de/attachment.php?s=&postid=286049 He had researched Final-Frontier some time ago. As you can see he is still spending 1830 bc/turn into tech. The field where normally stands what tech he is researching is empty. You can also see the "String not found"-Bug on the Screenshot. Another thing: You see my treasury on the Screenshot? I disable

Nobody else playing the game and reporting bugs? Here's another one. It's not actually a new bug. I think it was around from 1.0 but now with the increased number of Pure Evil Civs (with the default settings i have to play to know who is what) this bug has become more meaningful. I speak about the money bug. When you are in the reds then 2 things happen: Under Graphs the money graph shows a very high value instead of a negative one. Well, can live with that b

Okay, I tested it and have seen: The Disable Minors in the Options does nothing. However there's a workaround: Make a scenario where you disable the minors. This works as it should. To the Alignments and the "String not found" bug. It displays my own alignment for everything but Saintly. But it only displays the aliens alignment when they are neutral! I tested it with the default alignments.
You can also create a quicksave by hitting ctrl-Q
Good news, having to Autosave every other turn slows the game down a lot. So I'll start a campaign game, go to the Menu there and turn Autosaving higher or off. I'll check if it's only for Saintly. I was able to see my own Alignment (Neutral). No reports for missing gfx. I also don't get why the Menu works when I call it from the campaign but denies to work when I call it from a normal game. My last d

Here's the next Bug for you to fix: Under Races/Status there is an Info-Field called Alignment. It tells me "String not found" for the Torians. Bad thing about that is that I started with Random Alignments for the AI-Races and now I have no way to tell weather if they are good, evil or neutral.

When I hit the Menu-Button the game stops. No CTD, it just does not do anything anymore. That is only in the Free game. I can use the Menu in the campaign-Mode. Smart exception does not create an error since the program does not crash but seems to hang in an endless loop. The only savegame I have is an autosave because I cannot save without the menu. I also don't think that a savegame can be helpful since that happened everytime I tried.

I started the download now. It tried to resume at 14% from yesterday but then came up with the http error -8. I retried it several times and always got the http -8 quite fast. Now I hope I am over the hill as it didn't show up again and I am at 7% already... I hate the german Telekom for advertising DSL so much but not being able to provide it to our household! >:(
It would then go through a loop and say X = X+ X*Starbase[Y].InfluenceModifierDo you see what that would do? The more starbaess you had doing influence, the more powerful it would get.Now it changed to this:We add up the total influence bonuses FIRST and then mulitiply it later. This will dramaticlaly change influence pumping in the sense that you'll want to pump up fewer starbases more rather than have more starbases with fewer cultural enhancements.
That was all that had to

Je pense que avec 1.2 tu ne should pas creé des bases juste pour increasement du trade. However, quand un base est situé sur la route d'un minivaisseau build des improvements du trade dans'elle.

Strange to read the 1st post... For me the changed diplomacy (Nah, we won't declare war on them, they are too strong!; Nah, we won't buy this stuff from you, we are already in debt!) had a much bigger impact to my playing style (I guess I am a diplomat-player since I always start with +60 diplo and when I win almost always do so by Alliance-victory.) For the SBs I simply lower my tax-rate until I can buy them... Well, maybe I would think in another way, if the bug or
