No others mods. Its ok I just found the file made it all black seems to solve that issue with the star field being so annoyingly hard to read stuff when you zoom out. Now I can't see the border when placing starbases which is just annoying as ... They couldn't use gray they had to use black to show that right? Just another example of how unpolished this game is. Anybody know how to mod the black border around the constructor to a white border so it is visib
A bit harsh. GC3 has bucket loads of stuff going for it. It just needs the kinks ironing out. Okay, this moves thing is more than a mere 'kink', it unwinds the core function of what a TBS is meant to accomplish, but I'm sure even that will see attention eventually.
I don't disagree there are peaks and valleys, just don't like active products with "potential" the time to

3PM EDT lol yeah because who can be home to watch or participate in that. Someone please ask if any serious thought has been given to making planets no longer logistics bases to help nerf the ridiculous rate of expansion while also providing ship yards and starbases with even greater utility as they should provide anyway. Thanks, KD
The late game is the least explored area of the game, for obvious reasons. It's natural that areas of concern will crop up, and will likely continue to do so over time. The only thing that bothers me is that somewhere someone thought that having so many moves in a TBS was going to work.
My first lunge at solving late game fleets with hundreds of moves (fleets with hundreds of moves can be done, and why this was left in to be allowed to be done is beyond me - I can only assume no-one tested the game that much into the latest phases) would be to reduce moves to a sane level overall. This would mean adjusting the linear additive bonuses that ship movement recieves in such a way that the largest bonuses are among the earlie

While I like the shipyard I wish the components had more depth of meaning in the game. And yea fluff is nice but compared to what other things the game needs, they could have spent less time on that and more on AI/completing a few hundred other items.

I like when the AI ask me for a tech and they say this is fair. I say no, then I offer them the same thing only letting them decide how much in credits they will pay. Usually it is about 8-10X their original idea. LOLOLOLOL Sure no problem AI. You came to me wanted that for 75 credits, how about 468 credits when I bring it up, you agree? Splendid. LOL.
Yeah, except the ships are getting destroyed in transit to their rally points. Once again: Have you ever had a game where you're thinking: "well if the AI sent those ships at me in ONE BIG MASSIVE FLEET" instead of as a hundred individual ships I'd be dead? One of my major points is the rally points for fleet assembly should be set much closer to home than what the AI is currently doing. The problem is

Some AI should not organize all of their ships into fleets, they should swarm and attack in many places at once, especially against an enemy who is spread out the same way. You only need one tiny armed scout to eliminate any non-armed ship, a few well armed or one very well armed ship to take out a shipyard, and a task force to take out a starbase. The whole full stacked fleet vs full stacked fleet isn't the only situation or be all end all either. Just my opinion b

I think if anything expansion needs to be reigned in. You should be able to get your 5-20 starting worlds freely but after that you should have to take them. If you play an Insane galaxy with only 8 races then it is different but why would you want to when you could add a 100 races with the new randomizer? The whole lets rush and take 20 colonies by 20 turns isn't really all that strategic or the way a civilization would be able to do it anyway starting with one planet. I wish you

A simple and effective fix for early rushes would be eliminating the range n logistics support you get from a planet and requiring a starbase, longer range ship, or shipyard in order to expand. Every time you colonize a new planet you get the full range from that planet and that allows for rapid colonization rather than a reduced and limited by logistical support expansion. Change that and you eliminate the exploit. Do you neuter the AI in doing so? Try it and see, my guess is not.<
An AI should only fight a fleet if it has a chance of significantly damaging it. Sending 2-3 ships against a giant armada will do nothing and instead waste the ships. 100 fleets of 2-3 ships fighting an armada will do significantly less damage than a single fleet of 200-300 ships. Concentrate your forces , is I believe, a military adage for precisely this reason. Those ships s
