Comet94 ....do you mean ANY research (as in 0) or just not as much as you want ? Are you using the sliders on your Domestic screen to divide spending between military, improvements and research ? Have you build research labs (zero gravity research tech required) ? Some of the ressources are research boosters.

The local soccer team got "kicked" out of the UEFA-cup yesterday, the goddamn loosers had 5-6 100% chances - none of them ended up as goals. My frustration is growing to a level, where i'm actually looking forward to the upcoming winterbreak. I too think the galatic map is a mystery, but someone else might have the explanation. As for your points - you shouldn't feel that way, remember that even if it the gap to the EU Alliance is big right now - that might not last - a new members and CSF will be close or if the EU looses members (unrealistic maybe but :p ) And what if the GROSS got a member more then they would threaten your position. Last but not least, when I submit a game i get a rise around 10K comp
I can't quite figure out what "Free" means. I know its the plus figures (xx + xx)on your planet screen, but does "Free" mean that they don't count against your income when calculating your decifit/surplus ?

This discussion has been on before and i too think it's slightly unbalanced. I would rather see it nerfed so that only a certain % of planets from each major would defect and then have it the event showing up more regularly.
