"If you now have the account info and it's in your name, then you should be entitled to updates for a year from when the game was first bought." That's just for drengin.net. We all get galciv updates for however long they are made.

Perhaps influence should be changed so your allies planets don't defect to you? If I ally with a civ I want to keep them around without having to keep building culture improving starbases for them. Likewise I don't want to help out my ally only to find he now has enough inflence to make my border planets defect to him.

Do they have a colony ship? They start with one so it might still be around. I don't know for a fact that having a colony ship would keep them alive after losing their planet, but it might.

"In which case it'll launch as soon as it's built as if the slider was in the middle (2500 mil, if combat transports)." While colony ships auto launch as if the slider was in the middle, combat transports and normal transports autolaunch with a full load.

I wish I could remember that event this was but one of the choices gave me "10% higher interest rates". Does anyone know what even I mean? What, if anything, does higher interest rates do to an empire? I figured it probably meant economics since production is called manufaturing in some events and culture is also called prestige and influence since I'd never seen interest mentioned anywhere before this even popped up.

It was Koeth (sp?) that published HoI in the UK I think, they delayed it by about 5 months >:( If the first poster lives anywhere near the strat plus shop they could drive round and buy the US version from them.

I remember reading some preview of galciv long ago that mentioned a SB module that gave fighter protection to your freighters all along the route. Whether this was planned or whoever was reporting it got mixed up I don't know, but it sounded cool.
