For what it's worth, I think, like $50 of that $120 came from me (I've been on your Patreon since the beginning), and I haven't downloaded a version of the mod in about a year and a half. I just respected the hell out of the hustle and loved the mod. But re-loading the mod every single time there was an update—I just don't have that kind of time anymore. I'm too fucking old. I hate to criticize the devs for updating the game so consistently, but wasn't there a way to do any of this so i

I agree. Like I said, in 2006, SD was the Ur-example of a responsive development team. I don't think they've gotten worse, I think a lot of their competitors have gotten better. The Factorio team is an excellent example. In fact, they're almost an unfair example as they are kind of the pure boy scouts of the gaming world. I'm not sure it's fair to expect that level of gamer-friendly purity. The Cities:Skylines team at Colossal Order and Paradox broadly are strong examples

I posted on the 4x reddit in response to this article: https://the4xplorer.net/2019/03/29/galactic-civilizations-3-2019-review/ I am re-posting it here because I saw today that the development team appears to be actively soliciting responses from the modder community and both Horemvore and Gauntlet (the two people who have, I suppose along with Airmaster and some of the other ship builders) made the greatest contribution to this community. </blockquot

Someone asked on Steam a while back for promotion ideas for citizens. I think it was supposed to be for a mod that never materialized. I was pretty proud of some of my ideas so I thought I'd include them here. Commander : - Military Scientist: 25 Prometheon, allows the construction of a stable wormhole between two places on the map Celebrity : - Becomes philanthropist: 15 Prometheon, reduces by half the morale bonus offered

Here are some actual answers to your specific questions: Everything is a massive pile of symbols the meaning of which is completely unexplained. The tooltips don't help because they just list off a bunch of terminology that is still completely uneplained. Page 12 and 27 on here will explain some of those symbols: http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/226860/manuals/GC3Manual_v103.pdf?t=1432646382 The build menu is insanely large, with al

This was on normal. I understand people are trying to offer affirmative explanations, and I appreciate that. However, a new tech in a 4x game every 4 turns is not "very slow" research development by any definition, irrespective of the difficulty, or any other settings. Even if I wasn't playing on normal, playing one or two difficulties above should not alter tech frequency such that I'm getting a new tech on the slowest setting faster than I would on a fast setting in other sp

Hello all! I don't want my games to feel like technology achievements are not a big deal or to deal with the constant churn of updating my ship blueprints every turn. It makes game decisions feel inconsequential and ruins immersion for me. It shouldn't take the same amount of time for a ship to cross my territory early game as it does for me to develop Missile technology from scratch. Anyway, I'm currently playing a game, huge map, occasional habitable planets, nor

There's a new resource called administrators. Your capital world provides N of them where N is based on the size of the map. Building a starbase consumes one. You can get more by researching government related techs but that means you're not researching weapons or economy techs. The practical effect is that it takes a little pressure off the idea that you have to spam out starbases and also gives some advantages to smaller empires who can

I don't think so. Astus also never finished the other things on this list either as far as I know. Supposedly, a ship design builder should be a part of the civilization builder coming with the expansion but it's truly, unbelievably dumb that 20 months on and we still don't have that incredibly basic functionality built in. Especially given how much they touted the 100+ race games GC3 could support prior to launch.

Hey everyone! I personally like a slower and more methodical game and I personally think borders spread from influence is a little faster than I would like. I will be culturally flipping the planets of neighbors by the late midgame (or, at least, what I would prefer would be the late midgame) without even trying. Does anyone know if there's a universal value to mod this or, at least, a quick way to do it? Thanks!

About 100-150 turns into the game the game freezes while processing "opponent 2" (for example) in the bottom right hand corner. Return to an earlier autosave and play through, same thing happens on the same turn. I have a ticket# JVH-570-63630 that I filed on Saturday. Still haven't head anything.

I'm not sure I understand your meaning. My code doesn't have line breaks. The code looks like this: A secretive people, little is known of Breen political or social structures. Even the climate of their homeworld remains a mystery to the other galactic powers. All Breen so far encountered wear special climate-controlled bio-suits, to facilitate interaction in alien environments. The Breen are among the most recent powers to emerge on the galactic stage, a
