It sounds interesting one to try. I did not follow the whole dune sega but it is a classic. One of the staff members at my website was thinking about doing the same thing. To bad he is back to his first love, civ3 modding. The storyline would be a problem since they do not provide us with scenario tools yet. A prompt saying your submission failed or was a success might also help a little. The best thing is to fix the small bugs. The Metaverse is a very unique entertaining idea. Until it is working properly as advertised that is all it will be, just an idea. I love you guys, but this one thing is really bothering me. One of the most unique aspects of GC is the metaverse. PLEASE fix it ASAP guys we need this venue for our own selfish motivations and egos. :D :HOT:

That is an outstanding idea and should be implemented for sure. I still want to know what mods work for submitted and what ones do not. I have 3 new political parties installed played a game to the end, submitted to the Metaverse with no problems. :D What gives anyone know what mods will be rejected for sure? ~SDC~

I personally have asked this question over and over. What are the guidelines for create a mod that can be certified. Because of the Metaverse issues it seems like the mod community is really weak. I wish they would address these problems. :sniff!:

My website is going ahead with the HOF project. For anyone interested I will post when the Beta will be ready. We will need some testers for a bit to make sure it works correctly. Seems a shame to not be able to submit your score sometimes, and then it is done with some "unknown" formula. Without MP ability the Metaverse (HOF) is the next good option for competition. Our CDG programmer has already started work on the Hall of Fame for GC. :HOT:

Does anyone think that if there was a Hall of fame for scores from modded games it would be popular? I am curious because my website is considering creating our own HOF for Galciv. I find it very pointless to have your score ripped apart when you post it. I wish I knew the scoring system that the metaverse uses. I played 3 games all were in the 1000 plus range, yet the metaverse only gave me credit for only about 100 points. I thought it would be nice to have an alternative to the metaverse usin

Has anyone noticed the problem where your score is submitted but not fully tallied? I mean when I submitt a score of 1338 and my score increases from 1236 too only 1778 (approx.). This has happened with the last 4 games I submitted. Is there some sort of scoring curb that is being used? I really like the idea of the Metaverse but it seems broken to me. How does the scoring work exactly with the Metaverse? I belong too an Empire and the same thing is happening with their scores. I always thought

My website will post your mod right away. We only check that the file is valid, does what it is supposed to do as stated in the readme. I agree with you on that coffeedragon. I really love this game, but I love the idea of the Metaverse as well. It should be a simple scoring method, one you can press a key and see at any time. It is cool to be able to create the empires, and that the AI can download the data on the best players. It is not cool for a game like this to be as moddable as it is and to NOT be able to submitt your score. (CDG is currently working on our own Hall of fame for Galciv. Playing on a Gigantic Galactic map, almost finished the game. I had many constructors moving at one time. Next turn the game crashes to the desktop and the game will not recover. Crashes at the same point no matter what I do. In fact playing Gigantic maps it seems to crash quite frequently. I never had any games crash on me before either. I am having some issues with the latest patch myself. Weird things happening, and the latest thing was with the best game ever.
