I'm confused: where does it say anything about money, payment or other then free service there?

Must be playing different games; my current one they are spamming light carriers (average ~50 vs Vasari, 75 vs TEC per battle right now).
*sigh* where's an edit when you need it? My above was supposed to quote Kyro.
I think it's it's control freaks that thought up that idea. I think it's fear mongers and crafty marketers who did a bad job and decided to blame others that got copy protection in general use.
Not directed at anyone except pirates: You are the reason we have to deal with this crap.
Copy protection is the reason why I went into piracy in the first place (back when F.E.A.R. came out and bear in mind I actually had over 100 legit games, only a few non that were gifts from long before). After getting locked out of FEAR, SWEAW, Act of War and a few other games that I bought legitimately one right after the other, combined with periodic lockouts from ot
I for some reason feel I should point out that EA games (both dev'd and/or published by them) are steadily getting better. When I got BF1942 on the day it came out, I surpassed the system recommended by quite a bit, and the demo worked, but the retail lagged like mad, even on the lowest settings (both on and offline) coupled with a nasty crash bug that was never resolved on that system. Now, we look at games like C&C3 and Crysis, and those are actually (from what I've seen) perform decently on t
I don't really hat EA, I just hate their support years past and when they decide to develop the games with obsolete game engines and poor quality coding (sorry, still pissed off about retail BF1942 lagging at beyond recommended (demo was fine) way back then).

I'd make ships move a lot more, kinda like fighters, but bigger (ever see those big space battles on DS9?).
I usually put a spread out ring of defense platforms as close to my planet as possible to stop/hurt siege frigates and have a few hangers and repair bays on the far side of the planet (if available, far side = sides farthest from hostile lanes). Other then that, it's all mobile. Oh, and one nasty thing I like to do as TEC is build 4-5 frigate factories and (with industrial juggernaut) pump out cobalts and LRMs at an alarming rate (works against the AI at least).
I want Linux and I absolutely hate windows. I have over 150 games (I actually counted ~40 games ago) for my PC, and they all run on windows or DOS. Even with emulation software for Linux, I won't be able to run a rather large portion of those games. It's a vicious cycle for me: I want Linux, but my games won't run on it and devs won't make games for Linux. That feeds into it's self to no end.
Ok, I just moved the maps from the documents galaxy folder to the main Sins galaxy folder as said, and it worked. I did that with 1.03, but they didn't show up (that seems fixed now) and forgot about after. Thanks for the help :)
Every custom map; either made by me or someone else with or without the 1.03 galaxy forge all result in an instant defeat screen. I thought 1.04 would fix it, but it hasn't. I don't know why or how, and it's ALL custom maps (official maps work fine), and only since 1.03. This is without mods. Help please.
welp, I found my answer to why I'm not seeing any graphics.I guess it's either buy a new vid card or return the game. Funny how a $45 game turns into a $145+ game so quickly. It's little wonder why folks are migrating to consoles...
Consoles cost a LOT more to upgrade; mainly because you have to get a whole new console instead of new parts. For example: I upgraded my ~$200 Xbox to a ~$700 360, with graphics being the seemingly only real difference. I upgraded my ~$150 g
Repeat after me: Spamming is bad Spamming is for immature 12 year olds Spamming is bad Spamming will give you an ulcer Spamming is bad Spamming annoys everyone that sees spam Spamming is bad Spamming will get you banned on many forums. Spamming is bad Spamming will get you're "valued parts" removed Spamming is bad If you ever feel to urge to spam again, repeat the above again. there, aren't we one big happy cloned Vasari family n
Anyone ever notice that threads like this pop up far more often when the moderators (all forums) are gone (i.e. late at night, holidays when mods don't come around ect.)?
I'm going under the assumption that the DDoS'ers are actually from rival companies threatened by Sins, and Stardock in general. Kinda an advanced version of plants that are paid bash rival games.
At "peak" hours it usually takes me up to two minutes before the posts load (note it's the threads ad posts, not the site).
Nerf Arcovas! A hundred or more can kill a Kol! Nerf! Reminds me of the mech marine nerf sigs at the SupCom forums LOL!
My computer crashes when I read unsubstantiated whining posts. It crashes a lot because they are everywhere.
I've bee playing games for 20 years now (and I used to be online almost exclusively with a lot of competition up till 6 years ago), and I do see a difference between competitive players ad jerks. Typical competitive players I've encountered in my time: Generally short on words and decently skilled; and don't like to leave unless it's hopeless or RL interrupts. Starts games with "GLHF" and ends with "GG". Typical jerks I've encountered in my time: Condescending, usually (not alw
I've been getting this for a while (and this is the third thread about it that I've posted in). A temp solution is to save and reload. It will keep happening, but for a short time you will see everything - depending o how much combat you see. It's especially bad with Ravastas, but on the RARE occasion, it will happen with the other races. And yes, that max particle count thing is set to 9999999 here now.
Also more of a excuse not to buy them after they got them (of course, there is no gray area for shoplifting like there is for digital piracy). Personally, I view torrent and torrent-like piracy top be more of a form of free advertising ad awareness spreading.
You might want to wait for Lost Empires Immortals if you choose to get LE. Anyway, I have LE (and testing Immortals - but am under an NDA for it's info), and honestly I love both LE:I and Sins equally. LE (LE1, not immortals, though Immortals is the sequel AFAIK) has good performance and a great deal of combat, large empires and it's all turn based, though you cannot control the battles like SEIV or Sins. LE does also feel lik a turn-based Sins free roam movement to me at times. <br
Sins is better IMO; You don't need a quad core uber-system to have really amazing battles (my dual core does not run SC that well past a total of 500 total units in skirmish). If you do have a quad core uber-system, the get both. SC is a lot of fun, but it's not really the same.
