If the AI doesn't try to win, it's probably because the game won't allow it to win. The AI can't win a tech or alliance victory even if it fulfills the requirements. So the AI gets discouraged.

Let us know if you figure out the production bonus for moons, because I don't think it's working. Start a new game with no racial bonuses to military production, set spending to 100% and start building a ship. Do you see any bonus production? I just get the base 24.

CariElf: I don't think like a lot of other programmers. It's more of a creative process than a logical process. I try to use the attention I get for good and not evil, as it were. F

GC2 has never crashed on my machine. It does have an annoyingly large number of gameplay bugs, but it seems very stable.

In the betas they could not win an alliance victory if they had the requirements. Someone from Stardock said it was a bug, but I didn't see it fixed in the 1.1 changelog so it's probably not fixed.

-Abilities setup: You can still shoot yourself in the foot by overwriting innate abilities (humans, for example, can overwrite their 25% diplomacy bonus with a 5% bonus and pay a point for doing so) I think this is by design, and I don't see a problem. You don't want to override your defaults, then don't override them! If you do by accident it'

BladeVenom: Hasn't that changed with the latest beta patch? It's a common complaint, and the developers have said they are going to make it play more human i.e. sneak attacks. I haven't played very much with the latest patch, and I'm always the aggressor anyways. The changelog says the AI

Yes, I am weak, but the AI should know that I have the POTENTIAL to create fleets in no time, conquer it, and then the rest of the galaxy. And this is how all my games play out. I get war declared war on me, after which I crank out state-of-the-art ships in no time, then proceed to conquer the attacking civ, and turn my attention

If having multiplayer means less single-player content, or less sophisticated content, most GC players will likely not want multiplayer, as the poll to the left indicated. If it were something that could be done as an extra that did not otherwise affect the single player expirience, and that only those who will use it have to pay for, such as the proposed ship pack, yes, by all means do it. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgCo

I had always assumed unique ships for the other 5 races would be part of the expansion. Would I buy them seperate? Yes, probably. 9 bucks isn't unreasonable (you can't even go see a movie for less than that.... alone!). But I have to wonder, if the ships are a seperate item, what is going to be in the expansion? We know espionage and destabilization are getting a major upgrade, but that won't be enough for a whole expansion pack. If seperati
