I like the tax/multiplier on multiple starbases in a single sector or make them totally count for nothing. That would make it even across different size galaxies. I can see on gigantic how you'd get 50 pretty darn quickly and easily. I think to the 1.3 or 1.5 power would probably do better for the #too rather than to the 1.7 But I do like the 5 as it is now. That's not bad.

Actually I have 3 now but that's ok. I have to prove to someone else that I "can" play good and not be merely xenophobic first. Then I shall evil it up and you shall feel the full power of G.R.O.S.S. Has anyone noticed that when you colonize a less than 15 world? The penalty cost associated with it remains even after terreforming it over 15? Also, the influence doesn't get better like the other planets even after it gets over 15 and the ai's usually ignore it even after it gets over 15. I like the SB maintenence. Maybe cut it to 4 or 3 from 5. But it definitely encourages building up a smaller number of starbases rather than planting 6 in one sector. But when you get cultur

The Drengin in my galaxy (It's amazing how all five of these races get to each galaxy on our conquer list at the same time) are huddling in the corner giving me tribute begging me to let em live. Although if you lose perhaps it can be rationalized after the fact that your plan to blow up the core failed to blow up the core and that's why you lost. I kind of would like it to where you could assign your invaders not to take over, but to just wreak havoc. IE blow up the core and stuff and damage the planet without taking over. Then a probablity of success of the tactic could be assigned (lower if you're attempting a true takeover by it) then fight it out. You could then muff up t

Arggh no dice. Intro music when loading works. music and narration on opening backstory scene doesn't. Game background music works. Science discovery music worked. scene sounds and music when doing something for the first time (ie colonizing etc Dont. And the wav stuff isn't working either. Oh well. Needed that update to directx anyway. So it's not like I wasted anything. :) If you can get me that link to that program again, We'll try that one. I'd appreciate it. Thx.

There's some cheese either way. And it's a fine line to be able to predict "Well I'm going to lose this one even if I use core detonation." If you played it that way, you just might win once in awhile and be stuck with junk anyway.
