Does it still do it after you remove -modding?

Hey guys! As you may have seen in the March Dev update , I'm going to be taking over many of the design and operations of Ashes moving forward. This should result in a lot more getting done in shorter times as now we'll have a designer specifically focusing on Ashes full time whereas Draginol has his hands full with many other projects and whatever else being a CEO involves. I have
Great point! I'll make note of it for sure.
In case Priest missed any, this is it here. But yes, double capping will be removed next patch, and we also have improvements coming to the map pool.
Yes the line about Avenger getting less health is a typo. All of the changes are there, so you can see it's getting its shield increased. I don't think Air Eliminator necessarily needs armour penetration, it has insanely high single target damage but it has a long reload time and no splash damage so it's not too good versus light air units, unlike the Falcon. Starburst and Sky Ender are similar. But reworking Sky Ender and Air Eliminator around armour piercing isn't
Heh, glad you guys are keen for the balance update. I am too! The reason why it wasn't included in 2.1 was because some of the changes to unit requirements (such as Punisher) required the AI code to be updated. That's been done now so the balance patch, or at least most of it, should be coming soon. But I don't know when that will be exactly.
Awesome! Great stuff. I planned on doing some tournaments once we get replays up and running and the updated balance patch. I may be able to some live casting of the matches.
Did you look at build time? why do maulers take 6 seconds longer? may not mean much in a 1 to 1 ratios.
Ah, no I never thought of build time, that's a good point! I believe Cruisers also build way too fast compared to Frigate units of equal cost. Build times start to get iffy, because should Substrate have longer build time due to combined production in Assembly? Either way, this patch already has an insan
Why are we removing the armor penetration on maulers? How does this effect their dps? Did anyone in the beta try 1 mauler vs 1 Athena?
" The Mauler has full armour Penetration which allows it to vaporise Dreadnaughts and the Hera far too quickly. This can not be intentional as it makes Eradicators obsolete." For reference, the Athena
That upcoming ranked pool isn't final, I would like to do some amendments of my suggested ranked pool based off some feedback.
"The merging is complete."
Hey everyone! Looking forward to seeing all these changes in action with 2.1 and gradually bringing Ashes to its full potential!
Great to see all of my changes accepted! This will make the MP game so much more exciting to play. Looking forward to seeing the game improve and grow. If anyone wants to see the intention and reasoning behind the changes, you can read the document here. it also has a much easier to read formatting. Also, a couple of errors. There was a typo with the Instigator, logistics c
Very nice and fair criticism I feel.
The 1v1 maps, Deneb and Kralon, have different adjacent territory layouts from each of the two players spawns. I'm sure other maps do as well, but 1v1 in particular is the competitive mode for RTS, so there should be a set of 1v1 maps that are completely symmetrical and balanced in every aspect. Having non symmetrical maps isn't inherently an issue, but non symmetrical starting positions is definitely a problem. Not only is it unfair for one
Thanks for the response guys! I certainly understand some players might have an aesthetic reason for not wanting to have an overlay or unit icon. As someone else has mentioned, perhaps offering the best of both worlds, a toggle button or setting in the options menu to change between overlays/icons to distinguish units, and none to provide the epic visuals. That way everybody wins, giving the players the tools and customisation to play the game as they see fit is always good. Giving
Firstly, I must say I am absolutely loving Ashes of the Singularity so far, great stuff! One issue that I certainly think needs improving is the visual clarity, especially at medium to high zoom levels. It can be difficult and time consuming to distinguish what specific units are on the field. This is particularly vital in Ashes of the Singularity, due to the hard counter system when trying to read and counter your opponents composition. I would suggest implementing some kind
