Draginol posted a link to a voter registration fraud report site, which pointed out (amongst its MANY allegations of fraud, nationwide) how CBS, when it did a report on the subject, somehow managed to only report on the two instances of Republican-based fraud. Somehow the other 50+ instances (which were Democratic) went unreported.

I think blacklisting a user may actually work the same way that banning does... i.e. it filters not just on username but on primary IP address. Have to get T-Man, Karmagirl, or Brad to confirm/deny that, though. In fact I HOPE that the IP address behind this will be banned very shortly. And I certainly wouldn't complain if the comments got deleted...

I'd have to draw a distinction between "pretending to be someone you're not" and "assuming a persona". SPM, I think, came down on the "persona" side. I've been doing IT for 15 years, and I'll tell you, you're a lot better off getting a solid grounding in the theory and underlying mechanics than getting a certification or two in specific products or areas. As much as things have advanced recently, the core operations are still the same. Knowing the basics and being able to figure things out as you go is way better than getting a lot of product knowledge and being SOL when the next upgrade comes out
