A variation on that theme from Lewis Carroll's puzzle collection is a game called Doublets. It's not really a riddle per se, but it's interesting. The object of the game is to convert one word into another word, changing only one letter at a time to make a valid "intermediate word", until the target word is reached. Having read the rest of the article, I have to concur with sandy2 in that it appears that what is being admitted is that they wrote "YOUSSOUF" on the no-fly list instead of putting "YUSUF" as they presumably meant to, in order to properly match his passport. If the name had been spelled correctly, Mr. Islam would not have been "deported" because he would not have been allowed to board the US-bound plane in the first place.

Also, you might have developed (or worsened) a case of sleep apnea. Usually with apnea you don't come fully awake, but you don't get the restful sleep that you need. I always recommend that people get sleep studies done, they're very interesting and can fix problems you didn't even know you had.

How is it "draft-dodging" to voluntarily join a branch of the military? I was under the impression that draft-dodging had to do with trying to avoid military service altogether.
Are the Korean war or the Vietnam war not part of our heritage and history because they occurred in the '50s and '60s? How old does something have to be in order to qualify? (Personally, I think that if it's older than I am, it should count. (And all three items are older than I am.))

Yeah, full-contact armored jousts were on the event roster. I didn't go, though. I'm probably overdue for another visit; I tend to think that one needs only go every 3 or 4 years because most stuff will be basically the same from year to year, so it takes that long for enough stuff to change to be interesting again. But it's probably been 5 years since I went. The State Fair, on the other hand, is worth going to twice in 11 days.
