TW, the preferred solution to taking care of the "failing utterly" people is charity. Whether that's the hospital providing free services (which many do for people who are unable to pay), or a charitable organization such as Ronald McDonald House, or direct assistance from a benefactor, it still gives the people who need help with paying the ability to seek it and the people who want to help pay the ability to do so.

I think that the person who created the fake documents was just too ignorant about how much typesetting has advanced in the last 30 years and just considered MS Word to be "typewriting on a computer." He clearly tried to obfuscate the age of the documents by dirtying them up, copying and then faxing them, and refusing to show the "originals." He was just completely unaware of the sheer obviousness of the vast difference between Word and a real typewr

drmiler, try this instead, since your "quotation marks" are grating to those of us with a sense of proper punctuation: either use asterisks to emphasize, *thus* (much less offensive since you're not misusing a punctuation mark), or to get bold type before the word and after. (Replace the 'b' with an 'i' for italics.)

TW, In order for your links to work correctly, you need to include the protocol specifier at the beginning. In other words, you entered "www.customcomps.org" as a link target, but you needed to enter "HTTP://www.customcomps.org". I commiserate with your foot; I broke my foot (fifth distal metatarsal--the bone right before the actual small toe) catching a frisbee (with my hands; I jumped to catch it and landed badly). Spent 7 weeks on crutches and about another 7 on one crutch. I tell ya, being on crutches makes it damn tough to carry things! I had to get the waitstaff at McDonald's to carry my tray to a table for me.
