They were called "Terror Stars" (tm) and no, they aren't in GalCiv 2. They might find their way in an expansion though.
e-stab
Works fine with the tool behind the first link there: Link Don't have problems like you decribed, Franco.
I had them quite often in the Beta (several times per game), but I've heard they've been toned down in the later versions.
Vinco, I did similar in Beta 5, worked very well usually. One of the advantages of custom ship design!
Good to see the instructions for modding several things in the game. Might be a bit early, but I'm sure they'll come in handy one day.
Frogboy: In this menu I really tried to get the feel of hopelessness, the desperation of life. That whole resistance is futile, all your base are belong to us feel. I think I pulled it off quite nicely. Umm, sir ... That's the windows desktop, the game hasn't been loaded yet .... Frogboy: Precisely. </TR
Even three races surrendered to the Drengins in total. Being curious, why was it predictable that the Torians surrendered to the Drengins instead of you, for example? The Yor seemed to surrender to the race closest to them, but the Torians surrendered to their enemies. How's the mechanism working, roughly?
even when it finally kicked your butt! Don't forget he didn't play a one-on-one game. I doubt he got beaten against the Drengin alone yet. Winning against more opponents usually needs a bit of luck as well, which he didn't seem to have this time.
My first game will probably be on a medium map with 9 opponents set to intelligent. I've got a lot of experience with GalCiv I and some with the GalCiv II Beta, so I know the gameplay basics. I hope to get crushed sooner or later though, and will then submissively put the difficulty down step by step until I win.
Yes, sure, couldn't help myself.
The AI "remembers" ships its seen better. It makes guesses whether it knows where a ship is but it could be better. Ever thought about "telling" the AI to build AWACS-like ships? Perhaps it would help.
As to colony modules, I'm not sure if more boosts the population they can carry or not. This would be interesting to know, yes.
I noticed that too. Not sure whether there really is actual content missing, I guess it's just the numbers.
It'd probably go all wrong anyways, and you'd end up 10000 years in the future alone without a pc or a Stardock helpdesk Yes, and you'll wake up and find somebody saying "Welcome to the world of tomorrow!". Time for the suicide booth then... <img src="
I fear you can say all you want Lightzy, you won't get your tactical battles. You'll have to look elsewhere, in a different game.
horrible boy band... Link Oh my god! What a horrible link! I'll make sure these guys are in the first line when the Drengins come...
I think I've said it before, but I've had more fun with Beta 5 already than with entire Civ4. That doesn't mean Civ4 is a bad game, not at all, but I liked it less than expected and the game usually became a crawl in the later stages (and my hardware isn't that old). I also think they put just a little too much on the map graphic-wise.
Far too short. Give it another try. Yeah, we need a live-stream!
I've been mispronouncing Drengin this whole time. Same for me! But I learnt it a few hours ago while looking at the tutorials.
...and I thought US-4 was the new location where the servers could graze and lay eggs when and where they wanted...
Bah, single game serials are for whiners anyway. Join Totalgaming.net asap!
I like: "Yes, bigger fleets, yes, more starbases." (Last logistics tech IIRC)
When I click on the metaverse logo to the left, it takes me first back to this tread, if I click again then it takes me to the metaverse. Same for me.
I must admit I was a little nervous putting this out as I didn't know how people would react What we saw until now was well-written and quite entertaining. Keep it coming, your audience is listening. <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="
Thanks for the video, it's much appreciated! I second the idea of a huge battle movie, and it might appease the "I want tactical battles" people around.
